So, I'm not really a video game enthusiast... but my boyfriend plays them sometimes and recently bought a game he thought I might like because it is more of a fantasy adventure called Fable III.
You can be a woman or man and also get married and have kids in a renaissance/victorian type setting so he figured that was right up my alley. lol!
Well, I don't think he realized HOW "up my alley" it would end up being.
In the beginning of the game (spoiler alert!), you have to decide whether your love interest, Elliot, gets executed by your evil king brother or the leaders of a local mob who were revolting against him. Well, it turned out this Elliot character is like.. my IDEAL guy. He's short with sort of a beatle cut. Really cute. I was sold as soon a I found out you could get together with him later in the game and have kids if you save him.
So, later on as you progress you get upgrades and one of the upgrades is a joke expression package including "tickle" as an expression. I was intrigued when I saw this but figured it was silly and small. Not worth getting TOO excited about. I was wrong.
Well, I was finally reunited with Elliot and married him and starting interacting with him. When the tickle option appears you can tap (a) and lightly tickle him playfully and he giggles and it's over but you also have the option to hold (a) and start tickling him and you don't stop until it says "release". A good 5 seconds I'd say where the tickling gets increasingly more intense as does his laughter and squirming and If you release when it says to, you keep tickling him for another 5 seconds and he laughs and squirms and sometimes says "ok! thank you!" or "ok! you got me! you got me!" and you jump at him a little and he flinches and laughs and it's over. If you DON'T let go when it says release he starts begging you to stop and laughing frantically and says "GET OFF ME" and gets upset with you. One time he also said "I nearly wet myself!"
Now, I'd say this is PRETTY intense for a game where you can tickle someone at different levels like that!
And not only is Elliot cute... he's wearing like a prince outfit and has a British accent.
My boyfriend has actually walked in once or twice when I was tickling Elliot and was like "Uhh... You're enjoying this way too much..."
He's right...
It's fulfilling my urges to have kids AND tickle cute guys! LOL
And the ONLY other positive actions are kiss, dance, chat, patty-cake (weird lol), or hug. So, it's not like there are a ton of actions to choose from.
It makes me wonder if maybe one of the creators was one of us. Also, it makes me wonder if the actors were actually tickled during the recording of this, as the voice acting is really really convincing!
Anyway, my whole point of this was also to find out if anyone else has noticed this in other video games or had the same thoughts/feelings? I don't think I've EVER seen something take it to this extreme before.
