It's stupid. They should have done that from the beginning or just dropped everything associated with Kate Kane and rebooted the series entirely with the new character.

And going the ratings, which are worse than season 1, it was the wrong decision. Cause not only did they recast Kate Kane, they recast her with the one everyone wanted to see take over as Kate

I said this from the get go too, a reboot didn't need to happen, just a recast. Pretty much every character in the show is tied to Kate, so having someone completely new (Who wasn't even in the comics) was a dumb decision. Nothing against Javicia but she is an awful Batwoman too, she's not even interesting. Her story is basically the same old same old. Pretty much all other stories going on are better than hers

It doesn't help that there's pretty much only two people that can act in that show either, Alice and Luke. lol. I actually got in to the storylines in season one and did my best to ignore the acting and it got good towards the end. Then they just seemed to forget "Bruce Wayne" in the first episode of season 2, it was a horrible payoff!

They still get enough ratings for CW's liking and I think it's already been renewed for Season 3. I just hope they do put New Kate back in the costume, the choice of recast was good and if she's actually Batwoman the ratings may improve
