Just to be clear, this is purely an entertaining exercise on distribution. I'm not bemoaning having or not having a tickle partner. That's irrelevant to the interesting numbers involved.

So, let's just use simple and horribly inaccurate math for this. While this is a global community, I'd venture to guess the majority of members are from the US. The current US population is about 326,700,000. If we assume, for the sake of simplicity, that 75% of the membership is from the US, that narrows it down to 245,025,000. And 22.3% of those are under 18 years old and in this community are not currently eligible to participate. So now we have 190,384,425. Divide that by the number of registered members, again assuming 75% of members are from the US, and you get 1 in 1,810 of age US citizens are members of this tickling community.

For those of you who have found a like-minded tickling partner(s), take a moment to appreciate them and let them know that you do. Because you have found a rare person with whom to share this lifestyle.

In a town of 20,000, assuming an even distribution of tickle folks, there are 10 other people who share your interest. Be eternally grateful you found one who is willing to share time with you.

The internet helps a lot with finding someone you may be compatible with. I am thankful for the technology and this website.

Tickling should be an extremely small component of a healthy relationship. Just because you find another person into tickling does not make you any more likely to be compatible with them. You are better off finding someone you are compatible with in other areas and get work your fetish into it. My current girlfriend never wore nylons before me. She wears them all the time now and loves it.

Just to give an example.. I've met people on here that live locally. They were not my cup of tea and I did not enjoy my in person experience with them even though they shared the fetish.

Forgot to add that it's probably closer to 85-90% of the members are from the U.S. Also, you're factoring in all memberships. The memberships include accounts opened when the site began that probably haven't been active in years. I don't know how many accounts are actually active right now, but it's not even close to the number of total memberships.

Actually only about 50% of our visits are from the US.

We get an average of 125k unique hits per month, out of a total of around 300k visits total. Here's our February analytics report

^^ That's definitely surprising. I had no idea this forum had that many worldwide members.

I guess because despite America being big and well populated, it's really only 4.5ish% of the world's population.

Jeff, you are awesome. Apologies for not even thinking to ask you for such data. Whimsical statistics are flawed! Then again, aren't all statistics flawed? 73.3% of all statistics are made up.

At any rate, even more reason to thank those who participate with you, because it is significantly fewer that I had even estimated. Guessed. Made up.

I would also argue for a male leaning bias considering the nature of the site and banner ads, all rather geared towards a visually stimulated mind, which tends to be male, as well as being geared towards those with a true fetish. Those like me with a platonic passion for tickling are less likely to manage coping with the ads (I used tapatalk for ages specifically because it doesn't load all the tickle porn) mind you this is not a complaint, just an observation.

I would also suspect that the majority of women that actually enjoy tickling and being tickled would not identify it as a fetish and be even less likely to join a site like this, so the odds are even more hella stacked against M finding F partners at all :)

I'm surprised Australia came in at number 8! We've only got a population of 26 million people. We've only got a small tickle community, but I'm glad to be apart of it!

Nothing but the truth!

I honestly feel like my experience was rare, and it was a blessing to have both for as long as I did. And based on sheer odds, and also on me and my personality, I don't believe that lightening will EVER strike twice.

Should I ever feel the need to seriously reconnect again, I probably will not go through TMF. I'm pretty sure it will just be someone in my circle who isn't afraid to call me out on my bullshit and is just as loud and lovingly ridiculous as I am. :p I wouldn't recommend anyone basing their entire relationship on a shared love of tickling. (I didn't, but just saying) I agree wholeheartedly.

I'd be more inclined to interpret this as meaning that many a girl who's into or might be into being tickled simply exists quite happily 'out there' so this site isn't the be-all and end-all for finding someone for play or partnership. I met KT in an internet café in 2005 when we happened to sit near one another and started chatting. Sure, I'd previously played with quite a few girls whom I'd met in fetish or goth clubs, but also with quite a few very vanilla, curious young women encountered in libraries, bookshops, art galleries, a bus stop or wherever who were up for something other than having their breasts drooled over yet again.

Start conversations and be a decent human being without being boring, and there you are.

It won't always work out but sometimes it does.
