Wish I was not me

I kinda feel like this is the only place where I can say what’s on my mind

I am a good person

I do the best I can every day

Much like everyone else

Something that brings me so much joy has also bought me
So much misery.

I’ve learnt to lower my expectations of others but I expect too much of myself

Who knows.

Sometimes things don't go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel
faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don't fail,
