What happened to all the big name video producers?

Where'd everyone go? Nothing out there right now even compares or is seemingly all the same videos and scenarios, just not nearly as intriguing as they use to be....
 
Frenchtickling just isn't advertising here anymore I think. He is still active with great content.
 
I think T.A. has had a new owner for a while. So with a new producer of course there'll be a difference in content which people will like more or less than the original.
 
I half agree, it definitely not what it was 5 or 6 years ago but you will still see some good stuff from time to time.

Tommy had apparently hated producing for years before he actually sold TA.

And the nu-Tickle Abuse is apparently still selling a significant number of "shitty clips" in addition to their classic content, meaning they're debatably as big now as they've ever been.
 
I would guess covid. Hard to hire people when in lockdown for a year.
 
There are a combination of factors at play.

They first is that the owners of the majors have all had changes of life and direction in the past few years. Tommy sold off TA (or licensed it out) The owner of Czech Tickling decided to exit the business in favor of other things. TI has been busy with custom work, and so on and so forth.

COVID certainly cut back on production, and that led many to shutter for a while if not forever.

The marketplace is still challenging, with piracy cutting deeply into profitability. Some sales shifting to direct to model OF sort of productions. and finding talent can be difficult.

But periodically you see these shifts in the 'big' producers. Once It was Magic Touch and Tickler in Blacks company. They faded for many reasons. Personal and financial. Others like TA came along and carried the torch. And so it goes.

Someone will appear eventually and manage to break out and establish themselves as a new leader and in a decade people will be speaking of those great clips from company X, and why did thay stop?

Well French Tickling still updates, just not here anymore from what I know. And Tommy is no longer running Tickle Abuse, but the store still updates.

Lately obviously the big thing is COVID. And looking at some of the trends, I won't be shocked if we see the industry take another hit.

Also a big thing is piracy. C4S takes a decent cut from the creators on their site, and piracy isn't exactly slowing down. Even with pornhub no longer being an option, people will find ways to share and download pirated content regardless.
 
Im not "Big" by any means but Covid has and Is still the biggest factor for me. I got lucky and found the Evans sisters during the lockdown which kept me afloat.

Piracy is an annoyance for me at this point but I'd bet if my content was being stolen daily I'd be thinking of quitting too.

Agreed yes but as mentioned covid has had its part to play but also the advancement of technology. Every Tom Dick and Harry can now make a full edited video of whatever they see fit on an IPhone.
 
I personally took time off to build a vanilla business then covid hit. We're slowly getting back to production but between visa/MC issues and covid challenges in adult work it's going to take some time.
 
Did FunHouseClips retire?

A couple months ago I noticed that nearly all of the content on their C4S store was no longer up. And now their entire C4S store is just completely empty, plus they're no longer on twitter.
