A few days back I asked if finding offensive humor funny made you a bad person or meant you're a bad person. Well now I have another question. Can you find offensive humor funny and still be a good person?

Both the CNN series The History of Comedy (2018) and a documentary called The Last Laugh (2016) tackle this topic in a very effective way and are worth a watch.

As for my perspective, people like to see the world (topics, events, people, locations, art, beliefs) in terms of "good" and "evil" when a lot of things are actually way more layered and nuanced than that. Comedy and humor are no different.

What qualifies as offensive, funny or, good are all subjective. If I find something to be humorous then I don't find it offensive or vice versa.

My own personal standards of morality are in no way violated by having different tastes than someone else, nor do I consider someone with a difference in tastes or opinion to be immoral.

Yes, of course your still a good person if you find it funny but whether or not you find it funny kind of depends on the person or audience I guess.
