Hi tickle friends,
I wanted to share with y’all who may be interested. I’ve never seen a post on here quite like this, so I thought WHY NOT?!?! This is most likely going to be my dress to do my nuptials in with Daniel (whom a lot of you have met before), my fiancé.
We plan on eloping at some point in the next 2 years. We got engaged on NYE 2020 into 2021. We wanna have the ceremony outside either on a local donkey rescue farm that we love or in the woods in the fall.
Dress was originally $700. On sale at David’s Bridal for $500. I went to shop on preownedweddingdresses.com and found a woman in NC who was selling this gown she purchased and decided later ok not to go with this gown. It was too late to send it back so she decided to sell it. Never worn. Tags still on the dress. She was selling it for $300. I offered $200 and it was $50 in shipping. The dress is in my size, but needs some alterations of course.
I’d love to know what y’all think of the dress. It’s very soft, light weight, flowy, feminine, ethereal, and whimsical. The bodice looks like butterflies which I clearly enjoy. The low back is very nice too.
I also purchased an originally $200 beaded bridal belt/sash to go around the waist for a bit of bling. That was $30. Just needs to be cleaned, but so does the dress.
I’ll be wearing a veil off of Etsy that is about fingertip length and is an ivory color with colored sewn appliquéd wildflowers all over the veil. That’s the only thing I’m buying full price at $150.
For shoes I am going with wedding shoes by Tom’s that were on clearance in my size. Yes, they are the traditional Tom’s look, but are a soft blush pink and have gold marriage and wedding symbols all over them. No high heels for me!
Let me know what y’all think or if you want more photos!
