0.01$ locked by TROPSUNPROD - Check your credit card statements

Since many of you use c4s I thought I give you a heads-up.

Just noticed that „TropSunProd.com 00187***CY“ has locked an amount of 0.01USD on my credit card. I did not buy anything since a few weeks and have never noticed c4s doing anything like this before.

I may be paranoid but I had my card locked immediately as it seems as if there was a „ping“ booking performed in order to check if my card allows for payments to be performed by using the full credit card data without a second approval (by mobile etc.). This is a very common thing if a data breach happened and criminals are now trying to take over some money from the victims.

I highly trust c4s but this whole thing seems very strange to me. Just wanted to share this as a headsup! I already contacted c4s but as I am traveling this was now the WORST time to have my card locked.

If anybody has something to add to this please share! Maybe I am too paranoid but please take a look at your card expenses! I am a customer since 5 years and c4s has NEVER done anything like this (although I noted a change in their payment provider so this might be legit).

Update: Just got a response from C4S, awesome support! They were behind the charge and it was a mistake related to a technical test they ran. Will get refunded obviously, but it is good to know there was no criminal intent behind it!
Sorry for causing some panic, but I take stuff like this very seriously!
