When Ross got to the office, Fritz, Steve, and Ross began seriously discussing the natural gas strike.
"The company we want to hire in OKC is ready to sign with us. Please let's just talk to or meet with them once on this trip, and then we are set and ready to go on this end. When this trip is done, and you can probably get out of here in two days once you talk to them, approve them, we all agree to a deal, and then we sign with them. You can then get back to New York to talk to Tim or one of the other dozens of people you know, to find us legal counsel and evaluators up there. This way, we have our two way opinion protection. What happens to us after that will depend on how long the strike takes to evaluate" Fritz said.
"In a city as huge as New York, we will definitely find someone. I'm almost certain that Tim could find us a lawyer or someone that would know a lawyer who specializes in Oil and Gas, and that said person could direct us to an oil and gas evaluation company. Many people up where I live deal with companies in Canada. The issue for us is, so many oil companies are located in Oklahoma and Texas, that if Tim or me cannot find someone, we might then have to resort to finding a second company here in Oklahoma or in Texas. The lawyer or evaluation company does not "Have" to be located in New York. It was just a throw out suggestion on my part. I just strongly suggest that we have two different opinions, considering the magnitude of this strike, and what it means to our company and our investors , PR wise, business wise, and financially. Kayley always says that sometimes I make "Shoot from the hip" if you will, business decisions at RossShell that have come back to hurt me badly later. I want to learn from those mistakes I have made, and do the complete opposite with this, especially since my partners in this company are such excellent people, and wonderful and fair businessmen" Ross said, firmly but respectfully.

"That would be just fine with me. We can always take a ride around while I'm here and look at potential sites. The problem always is, and part of the reason we started this oil and gas company that now has become so massive Thank God in the first place, is that very often, our nice little quick real estate deals as you just said, Mister P, often turn into nightmares due to the problems we always seem to have with the damn zoning commission. Straight question. Is there anyone you know or anywhere you can suggest to build, that might be able to speed up the process, since once this gas strike is evaluated, we are going to be busy as Hell selling this sucker, showing it to potential investors and figuring out exact prices to sell it at" Ross said.
"I can call a lawyer friend of mine who knows about this. Maybe he can either suggest a place with a piece of land for sale that we can put a bid on, or a place that has less complicated zoning laws. It's not a one hundred percent promise or guarantee, but its worth a shot" Fritz said.

Ross went out to dinner with Fritz and Steve, and got back to the hotel early.
"So, how is oil land?" Kayley said.
"We are going to meet with a top evaluation company in natural gas strikes tomorrow. Fritz said that Steve and him would be ready to sign with these people, as they have evaluated other huge oil and gas strikes before, and that the companies who had the strikes did very well in regard to attracting investors. Assuming we can and do sign this company while I'm down here, I then have to talk to Tim or someone else I know who knows a second evaluation company when I get home. Trust me, I am being very careful and prudent with this strike, we all are" Ross said.
"It sounds like you have learned some things in business, and that you and your partners are handling this very well./ May I ask when you might be home?" Kayley said.
"My intent is to get out of here so that I'm home sometime Wednesday night. If for some reason I cannot do that because of one meeting, I will be home Thursday morning, and will be home or in the office by the time you get home from school" Ross said.
"You sound composed, calm, and happy. I'm thrilled for all of you. You all so deserve it. I will go to sleep, and will talk to you tomorrow afternoon or night. Love You" Kayley said.

The next day, around noon, the head of the evaluation company and their attorney met with Ross, Fritz and Steve at the office.
"Ross, a pleasure to meet you. I know that Steve and Fritz have told you what we do, and about our record. I hope that we can help you and your partners evaluate this strike, so that you all can sell it to your investors for the maximum amount of money" The lawyer said.
"I have the obvious question. What is the time frame of evaluation, and fee involved?" Ross asked.
"Since I know we have to be prudent and careful. minimum 60 days, maximum 90 days, depending on what your field fore people tell us, and how many cubic feet and depth of gas there really is in the ground, and how far around the field the gas is., In no way do we want to rush this. We do this with every client, and are especially careful for both the clients and ourselves especially with a strike as massive as this one" The attorney said.
"That sounds reasonable. I know the old saying is that "Good things come to those who wait. I am prepared to wait a bit for this to be done the right way for Steve, Fritz, myself, and any investors we will involve with this, of which I expect there will be many" Ross said.
"One other thing I would like to do, so as not to waste time. I know and respect your reputation., However , considering the size of this strike. I would like to hire a second evaluation company in New York, at my own expense, for a second opinion on this strike., I will cover one third of your fees for this down here, and will pay for the company in New York myself, and then will split any proceeds of this strike one third each with Fritz and Steve as I always do. I just want to have a second judgement on this strike. I hope you understand" Ross said.
"That is your decision, and that is certainly fine with us" The evaluator said.
"Ross?" Fritz said.
"Okay, I'm convinced, where do I sign?"
The evaluator gave Ross, Frotz and Steve the papers, which they all signed.
"Okay, the process will begin immediately. We will keep in close touch with all of you" The evaluator said.
Ross stood up. "Okay, why dont the four of us have lunch, my treat. Then, Fritz, you Steve and me can take a ride around and see what to do if anything about the other business we discussed" Ross said.
Ross, Fritz, Steve, and the evaluator all went out lunch. Then, once that was over, Ross, Fritz and Steve went on their jaunt to look at real estate sites outside the city.
The guys got out of the SUV they were in on the barren land., It was a huge, open field with a lot of potential.
"Hell, you guys know that I'm not a building expert, and that you guys know a lot more about it then I do. This looks like an incredible spot to do something, maybe a strip mall. The problem is, what would be the time frame, how would the zoning commission react to this?" Ross asked.
"Well, its not that close to a residential area or a school, so that would not be an issue. the only way we would know would be to ask both the person that owns it, an attorney, and someone an attorney might know either at the zoning commission or who knows someone at the zoning commission. As you always say, my friend and partner, you dont know until you try" Fritz said.
Ross,. Fritz and Steve went back into the city, and went out to dinner that night.
"Okay, so we signed an evaluation company, and we looked at a potential piece of land to build on. We accomplished a ton in 36 hours. You really can go back to New York in the morning. No sense in staying the whole day tomorrow. "Fritz said.
"Thanks, partner. I will get an early plane out of here, and will figure out whether to go into the office or home. Kayley wont be home til probably 4 anyway, so I will see how I feel" Ross said.
When Ross got back to the hotel , it was 9 PM. He called Kayley.
"I will be in New York tomorrow as early as I can get a plane. We accomplished a lot this trip. As you know, we signed the evaluation company for the natural gas strike, and we looked at a potential piece of property we may want to bid on either for a small strip mall or housing development. Steve and Fritz will find someone about the details, and discuss it with me. I really want to get back home, get home to you, to RossShell, and to see if Tim or someone up there can help me find a lawyer who might be able to help us evaluate the gas strike. I would hire an Oklahoma or Texas second evaluation company if needed, but I would really like to find one up there or in the North East if possible" Ross said.
"Sounds like a good trip. See you tomorrow oil man" Kayley said, blowing a kiss into the phone.
"Sweet Dreams, Teacher" Ross said.
Ross got off the phone with Kayley, and made an 8 am flight to JFK. He then left a message on the offiice answering machine, and said that he would be back in New York the next afternoon, but would be going home due to the proximity of JFK to his apartment, and would be back in the office the following day after Ross arrived home.
Ross's 8 am plane to JFK landed at JFK at 1 pm. After Ross took an Uber home, and showered, Ross called Tim.
"Tim, I'm home. I am ready for a meeting tomorrow. This time, my best friend and most important client, I need a huge favor from you besides trusting me with all of your business, which Miss Ksyley and me are eternally grateful for. Do you or would you happen to know anyone, or know someone who knows someone, who is a lawyer who is a specialist in Oil and Gas or something like that? Fritz, Steve and me hired a natural gas evaluator while I was in OKC, but I really would like to have someone either a lawyer or specialist from up here as well. This strike is too important to Fritz, Steve, and me and our company , to do it any other way" Ross said.
"I think I can help you, my Dear Friend. How about you and me meet at our usual haunt, Shun Lee, tomorrow at 1 pm , and discuss just that, and just for fun, some business of mine as well" Tim said.,

Ross lied down for a nap. At 4 , Kaylwy arrived home, went into the bedroom, and saw Ross dozing and lightly kissed him.

We loosely discussed placing a bid on a piece of land to build something on, either a small strip mall or housing development. And, I'm meeting with Tim tomorrow at one to see who he might know that can help us, either a lawyer or someone. I want to get two separate opinions on this. I told Fritz and Steve that I will pay for the opinion up here myself. This is too important for all of us and our families to do it otherwise" Ross said.
