Damn. I haven’t felt this pandered to since that Gala music video came out, but this is even more so. The writer broke the 4th wall and everything. This really aired on a cable network or is this some kind of fan made thing? I feel like we owe the creators a fruit basket or at least a thank you card or something.

I think it was a special bonus episode in vol. 5 of the remade show. Not 100% sure to be honest. Glad you enjoyed.

I think it's an easter egg, refering to the original episode where Mr. X entertained a group of evil doers while they watched Lupin III race his car then as well.
