Dodgers reach 100 wins insuring no World Series win this year

The Dodgers are now 100-44.

The Dodgers have won the World Series 7 times: 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, and 2020.

The Dodgers have 100+ games in a season 9 times in the past: 1899, 1941, 1942, 1953, 1962, 1974, 2017, 2019, and 2021.

Every time that the Dodgers win 100+ games in the regular season, they fail to win the World Series.

2019: 106-56 Lost NLDS to the Nationals.
2017: 104-58 Lost World Series to the Astros.
1974: 102-60 Lost World Series to the Athletics.
1962: 101-61 Lost special 3-game playoff for the NL pennant to a team whose name I won't mention.

In any year the Braves have won 100 games, they did not win the World Series either.

As we know, last year the 88 win Braves won the World Series.

With 90 wins now, and 17 games to go, the Braves have to go 10-7 to win 100 games.

They "should do it" but who knows?

We will see what happens to the Braves and Dodgers in the playoffs, as the Braves will make it as well, whether as the NL East champ, or the first wild card team with the best record.

Mils, sorry about the Dodgers loss last night in the NLDS.,

As you know, a few hours before, my 101 win Braves suffered the same fate at the hands of the Phillies.

Last week, the 101 Mets went out in the wild card series.

Every team in the NL with 100 wins, is now home for the winter.

Hopefully, the Dodgers and Braves will meet again in the NLCS next year, and they will have excellent series like they did in 2020 and 2021
