I agree with the general sentiment, that the father in this video would catch a severe beatdown from myself or any of us had this been done in our presence.
But what you have to understand (to play devil's advocate here) is that this kind of behaviour is more deeply seeded than most of you might think. It's not that the father just made the wrong decision, it's that, for some reason, in his mind, he was taught to think that the appropriate response to his daughter using the word "bullcrap" towards him is to beat her silly. What he's been taught (he probably was beaten as a child, or his siblings were [if he had any]) is to beat his kids for misbehaviour, and that's something that needs to be professionally worked out, not physically beaten out of him.
I was taught the same thing. However, I also have morals, and know the difference between right and wrong (as this fellow apparently does not). I'm convinced that when I have children, I'll never "beat" them, in the sense of what this father is doing to his daughter, but I do believe in "spare the rod, spoil the child."

Reminds me of my childhood, but looking back I'm glad it happened. I wouldn't be who I am today without it. Wrong as it may be, it did more good than bad. I know, hard to understand.
No no, you make perfect sense. I don't regret being beaten as a kid (as much as the kids from elementary school would like me to think otherwise). It builds character.
Hey, did anyone else notice, the daughter's not wearing shoes?
😀 Yeah yeah, she's 15, shut up, I'm trying to be funny.
