About getting your hopes up..................

did you ever think about picking another team? The NFL season is much more fun when you pick a team that might have a chance. You know, like about EVERY other team. (just kidding)
 
That's okay. I understand. I remember when the Chiefs went 2-12. It was 1977.

Okay fine. If the Raiders quit turning the f@#ing ball over all the time they wouod be a half way decent team. All they'd have to do is average 17 to 21 points a game and there awesome defense could probably win the games for them. Most of the time their defense was put in bad situations due to them damn turnovers. It's hard for any defense to defend a short field.



Seriously.
 
I know man I watched all of those painful game........the "great" thing is that the 2 QB's we have are built for turnovers - good times lol

Your second string (dammit if I can't think of his name) makes better decisions then Brooks.

He just needs to be coached on how to protect the ball better. You know, LIKE KEEPING TWO HANDS ON THE BALL TILL YOUR READY TO THROW! Major help.

I had to turn Mr Davis down....I was like you dont have enough money to pay me lol.......seriously even with my bad knee I could of played QB for the Raiders and would of been a better choice; some games (last game against KC) I couldn't believe how he held the ball - Allen (I think) 270 pound monster was a yard away from Walter and he still had it in one hand :sowrong:

That's exactly the game I was thinking of. You have to protect the ball, at least hold it close to your body, but he had it way out there up for grabs.


If it's any comfort............... KC defense forced three turnovers out of Peyton Manning and he's supposed to be one of the best. They sacked him too. 12% of the time that happens. Lowest in the NFL.
 
I think it was 3 fumbles - 2 by Allen and 1 by Johnson, 1 if questionable but 3 is bench warmer material.............its funny the next 2 decisions that the Raiders make will affect them for the next two seasons.

1 - Head Coach
2 - #1 pick

And it's the head coach that's far more important a decision, than the draft pick.


One guy does not make a team. i.e. Terrell Owens.

The coach is the one that has to turn the team....... all 22 players around. The first draft pick is important, but....................

how many have gone bust........ ie Ryan Leaf.

Art Shell would have turned the Raiders around! But not in one season that's an impossible goal for anyone!!!!!!
 
I loved his first move, putting Porter in his place (heard a rumour that him and Porter went at it in Shell's office). All he needed was players that would play for him........I agree with you fully.
