Role Playing Games.... (games, not sexual lol)

So I'm curious, how many role playing gamers are out there, not talking video games, I'm talking like D&D, Rifts, White Wolf, Cyberpunk, etc... I play quite a bit when I can, am currently in a few table top games myself, white wolf and D&D at the moment.
I'm also in a LARP (Live Action Role Play, if anyone doesn't know what that means lol) at the moment, and gonna be in a second probably shortly. The larp I play is Vampire the Masquerade (3rd edition White Wolf Vampire) and am about to give their new one Requiem a try as well. I enjoy it greatly, and play once a week currently in the game I'm in. 😀

Any others out there?

'Fraid I'm not a 'larper any more. I used to be, and I have friends that are, but I have other commitments now.

The most contact with larpers that I have is when me and my juggling friends chase after them on campus with our flaming swords to show them who's boss 😉
At least that's what we plan on doing! 😀

Mucked about with The Masquerade and Mage for a while, but I'm not much interested in them these days. Kind of crap when there's no bugger else involved.

hey, Viden! long time gamer here. i've been rolling dice for 13 years now, with the vast majority of my gaming involving Palladium Books. i've also been playing lots of AD&D 2nd. Ed., WoD (or Worlds of Darkness for the uninitiated many), 7th Sea, Star Wars, and i plan on hooking up with some new friends to try out Warhammer.

any other time i game, i'm playing HeroClix or i'm on the PS2 or PC.

Nice post! I do a lot of RPing and RPGing, tabletop and otherwise. Let's see.

I'm way too young to be one of those D&D veterans that still remembers THAC0 fondly. I got into D&D (and then other tabletop RPGs) at around the time 3.0 was in its prime, and 3.5 was coming out - it's the system I know best. In D&D, I basically soaked up Forgotten Realms for many years, and I think I still have the geography of the Dales memorized... and yes, it was Baldur's Gate, the video game, that got me into D&D. One thing became another, and then the entire circle of friends was converted!

After D&D came Call of Cthulhu, BattleTech (and MechWarrior), Shadowrun, and Masquerade. We still play a game of BattleTech once a month.

Roleplaying table-top translated into roleplaying on the computer. I roleplayed and DMed on several servers on the Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 video games, which are a pretty good translation of D&D rules into a multiplayer environment. Nowadays, I roll on a few MUDs, as well as continuing to RP over IMs, and in RP-enforced servers in WoW - and always looking for more contact. =)
