All the recent upheaval lately here, it does go in waves; made me think this might be a nice thread to start
 
Calling the ambulance and carrying my mate down the stairs when he had OD'd on pills and alcohol would constitute as "nice" I suppose.

I seriously have no idea what the NICEST thing I've done could be though. I mean it would kinda be up to those I did it for, and my friend didn't appreciate my assistance one bit. The thing I've done that was the most time-consuming though, was to help out two classmates who were falling behind in school. I wrote a lot of their hand-ins and papers even though it affected my own achievements in school. I also tried to help them out with maths even though I suck at it myself.

Other than that I also did a pretty nice thing for a person here on the forum once. But said person isn't supposed to know, so I can't really say what it was.

Very good call for a thread, by the way! Much needed. 🙂
 
I think this is a really great awesome thread to make FlockofSeagulls, so thanks for creating this thread, very nice and a really great gesture. I would say that I just try to do my best to be a kind and loving person-try to show love and caring and friendship with my actions and words, try to do my best to "walk the walk" and "talk the talk" and be real and do my best to be there for family, friends, and others-those I come across in my daily life. I would not say really any certain action comes to mind. But try to be understanding and sensitive to others' feelings and what is going on in their lives. I try to show God's love and compassion to family, friends, those in my daily life, and compassion and love -tenderness care and concern-empathy to animals and to others. That is what I would say I do. :twohugs::twohugs::twohugs: love giving hugs and love being a friend.

Aside from putting school on hold to nurse my father back to health or helping to raise my little sisters, I'd say it was probably making someone a three-CD set of songs for a friend's birthday when we were both kind of missing each other pretty bad. I cut out pieces of paper, wrote the lyrics, and stapled them all together to make the liner notes. I was mad with myself when I got to an 11 minute Tom Waits song, but it was worth it. 🙂
 
I let two ginormous-headed humans live inside me, kicking me and making me eat weird food and writing their names on the walls and all manner of mayhem, for 9 straight months, then let them make their escape through an opening the size of a lemon 😈

I don't know.I pulled into a gas station once,and saw a station wagon with a flat tire.The driver was a young Hispanic woman.She was standing there with jack in hand and clearly had no idea what to do.

After looking things over it was clear the jack she had was not the one that came with the car she was driving.The lug wrench did not match among other things.I got my jack out,changed her tire and sent her on her way.I just happened to have a four way lug wrench that worked.


A few months after that,my girlfriend and i were at Bear Creek Park in Harris County,Texas.I managed to get my car stuck in the mud.A guy with his family drove by in a beat up old car.He pulled over,got a chain out of the trunk and pulled my car out of the mud.

That is one of the nicest things someone has ever done for me.😀 I offered him $10 for his trouble.He said if you ever see this old car on the side of the road,just stop and help me out.
 
I once stopped and gave a lady and her daughter a ride after seeing them walking in the hot sun in the summer.
 
I have listened to people vent without offering unwanted advice or passing judgement.

Some people would probably say that your kids were the nice ones.
