Debunking Michael Jackson haters

No, really, let's argue some more. Let's create 10 more MJ threads where we can argue over the same thing, forever.

As for the "you don't pay someone off if your innocent" theme people use to say MJ is guilty. In a CRIMINAL trial, there is no pay off. The DA can still bring charges EVEN IF the victim doesn't want to bring charges. The payoff is for CIVIL trials. How come the prosecution didn't bring the charges?

Celebrities (and major corporations) sometimes pay off schemers because it will A) They won't have to deal with the situation for a long time. Trials don't happen the very next week.... and B) In the long run, it would be cheaper to pay the lying bastards because it would cost more to defend yourself. Again, litigation and trials don't happen very fast. Having to deal with a load a crap for an extended period of time can really wear people down. It's not a fun situation to be in.

You can argue he paid people off, but WHY did the "victim's" family accept the money? People talk about MJ being a pedophile, but the family are even more sick and twisted. Your kid supposedly gets molested and a few million takes it all away? Scam folks, it was a scam....

I never said he did not make huge strides as a musician, and he did. Should he be praised as a person for those accomplishments? I say no, because we are evaluating him at that point as a person, and pedophilia is not a trait of a person to look up to, or give praise to.

Charles Manson was a good musician as well, but will you not judge him based on the other things he did with his life ?

Show me the proof that he is NOT a pedophile? He admits to sleeping in beds with children! Just because he was not convicted does not mean a damn thing. Thats like saying that OJ was innocent as well. If you cant prove to me that he was not a pedophile, then im gonna say he was a scum bag and is one less pedophile the world has to worry about

And back to my Obama example in regardes to your grudge..again, how is that a grudge? The man is in office, and things that are happening are current. Disliking choices that he is currently making comes back to me holding a grudge?

For the record, I care about him because I grew up listning to him AND watching him on TV. Granted, I never understood the first trial cause I was a child. But I was one of his supporters in the 2nd trial. I didn't see a pedophile. I saw a poor man being used by a greedy family.

Those who call him a pedophile don't know much about him. As a fan, I've been watching anything to do with him as a person, so I (and other fans) basically saw who he was. Did you follow his life? I don't think so....

and I bet ya didn't know this. Did you know that theres a boy out there who got a 2nd chance at life because of MJ?
 
I don't know if he did it or not, but the bottom line is he admitted that he slept in the same bed with other people's children. This means, in my opinion he was a danger, he gave the children the impression that it was ok to get into bed with a man who was not related to you, this could cause some subsequent problems.

Gee let's think about that for a minute. Bring child molestation charges against an international icon when the family (who by the OP's own words only wanted money) didn't want to press those charges. Yeah, that would be a GREAT career move.

Why do you want to believe he could never possibly have done anything wrong at all just because he's MJ? I actually have followed his life for as long as i can remember. My stepmom has always been a huge fan of his. Someone can be a fan and still realize the person they are a fan of is just a human being. A human being who can make mistakes. One who in this case because his father was such a fucking bastard to him, had some serious mental issues.

Exactly, people can say "He lost his childhood. So he was trying to get it back as an adult." etc etc etc. Bottom line is nobody in their right mind sleeps in a bed with complete strangers children.

We can't know for sure whether he was a Paedophile or not, but people are bound to draw their own conclusions.

No one ever really knows a celebrity. I used to be a huge fan of *NSYNC when I was teenager. I knew every single detail about where each member was born, grew up, who their parents, etc., but I didn't really know them as people.

Just because you're a fan of someone doesn't make you an expert on who that person was. You only know what's printed about him (in biographies, documentaries, even gossip rags).

It's nice that you want to defend MJ, but no one's going to be changing their opinions of him (whether they believe he was a pedophile or not).

You keep going back to the fact people who think he's a pedo can't possibly know anything about him. You are WRONG. I've talked to die hard fans who know anything and everything about the man there is to know. Even they say he's a pedo.

Why do they think so? Because he slept in the same bed as other peoples children. Then paid off accusors. Maybe i just feel differently then he did. I'd rather spend every dime i had in trial proving i was innocent. Instead of paying off someone and allowing people to think i was guilty.

No I won't let it rest. Fact is, an innocent man had to suffer from verbal abuse all because of a stupid, selfish allegation made by a greedy family (Make that TWO greedy families) who only saw him as a way to get rich! Because of that, people forgot about all the good things he did. All the charities he helped..Also forgetting the fact that if it wasen't for him, a certain young boy would be dead!

I brought this up because a few days ago I was surfing around the forum and I happened to see some MJ threads. and as a fan, I decided to check them out. I was absoloutly shocked and disgusted at the amount of comments that said he was a pedophile. So I decided to educate people and why their claims of 'MJ was a pedophile' is retarded and just plain disrespectful.

Didn't say it was the best of the best. But hey, at least I actually made an attempt to prove that he was innocent. What evidence do the haters have to prove he was guilty? and yes, I am VERY well aware MJ himself admitted that he let children sleep in the same bed as him. Dosen't mean anything bad happened. Infact, the fucked up ones here are the ones who actually thought something sexual went on.

Besides, if MJ did molest kids, how come only 2 came forward? (Both were proven to be lying) and why haven't any of the other kids he supposedly molested came up and said anything now that he's dead?
