Your reading a tickling fanfic, and somewhere along the line, you start to feel sorry for the ticklee. Well, that's been happening to me recently.

Heres one of said fics.

The following contains spoilers.

I don't know why i felt sorry for Ashley in this fanfic. Seeing as how we learn that she could have escaped at any time.

Spoilers off

Another one is...

I know these are fictional characters we're talking about, but when you actually start to feel bad for said characters the writer must really have the nack.

(If this is in the wrong place, please move it.)

Nope, I've never felt sorry for fictional characters. Some people have posted that they feel sorry for the fictional characters in my stories, though.

Sometimes, depending on the story. But I'm all for the mutual enjoyment of it by both sides of the equation (yes I'm over-complicating my reply as usual). It is the mark of a good writer, certainly.

only when i first got into tickling. there was thing one story of a girl at the carnival being tickled. basically she had wandered into the dungeon attraction, and been tied down in stocks. then she was tickle tortured so intensely by these guards, while the audience watched on. the way the author had written it, it seemed sooooooo horrible. the story was on the old swtickle site, which i miss. its that fact that it never ends and it seems so torturous.

This is in the right place. 🙂

And yes, a few times. There's a fine line between Hot and Too Much, and it's either personally subjective or the mark of a powerful writer.

Heres another.

One of the chapters of this pick your own adventure story (http://www.writing.com/main/interact/cid/547825) involves you tickle torturing may because she tickled you to try and cure your phobia.

Now, i'm not shure if the writer of that chapter was implying that your character was trying to give may the same phobia, (you tell me.) but the way it's writen makes it seem that way.

I even wrote a chapter where may gets her own back. (called may's revenge.)

You reach your own verdict.

Yes with a lot of the characters I've felt sorry for.

The one story, mentioned, where the girl, peggy is tortured in front off the crowd is called amusment park hysterics i believe

Sounds terrible.

Now, don't get me wrong, i'd love to see some of these things happen for real. But most of the time, i'm glad these things stay fictional.

But once again chaps, an answer for the pokemon tickling question would be nice.

Not really felt sorry, but it can be quite a turn-off when I read a story and it turns into someone's complete noncon fantasy where the 'lee has been kept prisoner for years after signing their life away, being tickletortured for the rest of their life.

Doesn't sound like a huge amount of fun, even in a fantasy.

I hear you, mate. Something like that can be a HUGE turnoff. I remember reading a story like that, but thankfully the name escapes me.

Anyway, heres anouther.

I feel deeply for the college kid who gets tied and tickled by a whole pack of sorority sisters, in one of your stories.

On an unrelated note, I recommend Luigi Pirandello's Six characters in search of an author; essentially, it's a *extreme verbose* play that takes six characters who are in search of a director and acting troupe to perform their story; the author (Luigi) notes in an interview that he had developed this story and these characters, but didn't know what to do with them, and he was haunted by them.

The piece is moving because the characters are yelling at the acting crew is not portraying the emotion as violently as it needs to be and such. Been a few years since I read it, but it's a very, very good play. However... well, personal criticism, but it's very verbose as I said... too much so for a play, which requires flow.

Do I ever feel bad for my characters? Absolutely. I'm essentially bringing them into existence to tickle them; their whole point of existence is to be tickled/tortured by various characters, and that is extremely sadistic/creepy when you think about it. But yeah, Luigi really opened me up to the ideas of developing a character and treating it properly, and doing a story for a character, however... it's not something I've practiced recently, and it really is something I should be focusing on. Developing meaningful, actual characters, that is.

Rambling.

Etc~

How can you feel bad for a fictional character?

Reading literature and watching visual performances is about nothing if it
is not about empathizing with the characters involved in the play/movie/book.
Why else would authors of famous works of fiction make use of so many plot devices, tragic events, comedic events, familial ties, etcetera if it were not for the purpose of drawing you subtly into a web of emotion often without you even being aware of it. :hmm:

1- I cant say I feel "sorry" for the lee, but sometimes can sympathize for them if that makes sense...

and 2- if I ENVY the lee, then I consider the writer to have the nack 😀 but hey, thats just my opinion :excited:

I agree, really prefer (mutual enjoyment)

You're right -- Amusement Park Hysteria by ShadowTklr --- http://www.ticklingforum.com/member.php?u=6614

His Story Archive: http://www.ticklingforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=178

REALLY amazing writer, one of the first I read, and that blew me away --- though it did also horrify me.... :scared: BUT at least I *think there was the possibility she'd be released --- if I remember correctly --- once the "Amusement Park" was to move on ---- or better, after that night ---- but in the interim, OMG.... BRUTAL....

Never trespass ---- never go with strangers
---- !!!!!

The Nylon Dungeon series actually disgusted me so badly I left for a few years --- really brilliantly written by various authors --- scary as hell, you'll never trust another human being.... Really illustrates why you do NOT let yourself get captured by any sicko under any circumstances....

Those are SOOOO coldly nasty I just thought, ugh, if this is what's desired here, if this represents the majority, I'm gone --- but I never wrote that publicly (before) since it's all fiction ---- And I'd never post that under those stories, it's fantasy, they can write whatever they want...
(aside from child abuse).

Of course the rabid knuckledraggers in the video section advertising or seeking REAL cruel Non-Con towards real women don't exactly give me the Warm Fuzzies either.... 🙄 That just sucks... But that's entirely separate.

This is in the right place. 🙂

And yes, a few times. There's a fine line between Hot and Too Much, and it's either personally subjective or the mark of a powerful writer.

Perfectly put...

Whats strainger is that i sometimes feel most sorry for the ticklees that actually diserve the torture.

Case in point...

http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?p=2657310#post2657310

I can't read that since it's f/f --- I normally can't deal with that & ignore that material in any subsection ---- but I agree, the victim has to be really horrible, and even then, it depends --- if s/he's to be locked away in a dark dank Tickle-Hell to be tortured *miserably so s/he loses her/his mind,

No thanks ---- Not fun to read 🙁 Same for art --- if they look miserable, nuh-uh...

question
1 how old are the people who wrote this story
2 why the fuck is someone writing a tickling story with pokemon in it
WTF they should be locked up!

OK, i think your over reacting. 1st of all, this is an E rated story. Some of the chapters wern't even created by the author. 2ndly, tickling IS more than just a sexual thing. There have been tickle scenes in kids cartoons aswell as animes.

not really since it's only a story but when it's a clip and the 'lee is really ticklish and the 'ler is relentless then ya, i mean i laugh but i kinda feel bad for them

Bumped.

Looking back to be honest, i don't know what i was so worked up about.

To be honest the only characters i feel sorry for out of all thost stories are Ashley and Tasha. Ok, so it's revealed at the end that Ashley could have easily escaped and only stayed to see what red could do, but i still feel the sorrys. 😛
