When the ticklee is trying SO hard not to laugh, making it worse..

Hello:

I was watching a video recently (from FM Concepts - yes, even a blind squirrel turns up an acorn now and then) and the tied down victim is trying so hard not to lose control and laugh while her ribs and underarms are being probed. She basically screams, grunts, and moans throughout. She's obviously being put through hell, and as I (happily) watch this video, I can't help but think that if she would just let go and laugh through it, it would be much easier on her. My ex mother-in-law was like this - she would try so hard to fight off the tickling feelings and would not laugh. It would end up making her upset if she was tickled too much, so I couldn't get in more than a few moments worth of tickles.

The sadistic tickler in me would have loved to have tied my ex MIL down and "broke" her - a battle of wills - but for obvious reasons that never came to be. Wondering if anyone else is like this, or has witnessed anyone who struggles this mightily to overcome their ticklishness...

I had an ex girlfriend who didn't mind tickling per-say, but she had a thing about not laughing. At least, until I finally hit the right spot 😉. But mostly she would moan and grunt and scream and squeal, but laughter was saved for only the most sensitive spots.

It was interesting, but I prefer varying levels of laughter as opposed to other noises.
