I don't know that I'd ever feel the need to formally "leave" the TMF. Deactivate my account or delete it or whatever. I would just stop coming around if I got bored with it, and start coming around again if and when I felt curious about how things were going here. I guess it all depends on why you come here. If you're coming here to meet a partner and you meet them, you may not need to come here anymore. If you come here to look at porn and you end up with a significant other who doesn't like it, you may stop then. If you just come here to chat and be social and keep up with friends, like I do, then unless you start to hate those friends, there will never be a reason to completely leave. At least not one that I can see.

I would only leave if/when the site starts decreasing the quality of your life. Like you become obessessed with it (the fetish) to where you are no longer functioning normal and/or you're becoming depressed.
But if that were the case you'd probably want to stop all online tickling activity. Not just the tmf. And you could always start up again once you got things under control.
And I agree with "leaving" without telling anybody or tell certain people in private. No leaving threads needed.

I have noticed that over the years when people get into a relationship or get married they become less active here.
I'd never leave as such...though I don't really know anyone well either so I doubt anyone would miss my lack of posting, haha! I've been here for around 7 years though and it's part of my daily routine to just log n and browse...so I'd probably be on here less if I had a relationship...or more if future gf is interested in it all...
Well I'm back after three years away. For me it was a relationship with a girl who wasn't in to this sort of thing and I guess I wanted to bury that part of me.
Turns out this might not have been a great idea so I'm going to try to be a bit more active again. I feel slightly silly for leaving on the first place. I was sort of starting to connect with a few people at the time after years of lurking so I might have missed out on making some good friends here.
