Anyone had trouble logging into the tickle theater lately.
Their home page comes up but when you click on a data base error notice comes up.
It does seem very quiet over there of late, i just wonder if they are having tech problems.

Lots of problems with them recently. In the last few months old photos and videos wouldn't show. I guess it is because the main moderator is unable to be contacted by the host to fix the account. Hopefully it works out.

I used to frequent TT more often than TMF. Nowadays it's the other way around. Still, I hope it'll remain. They have still many interesting topics I am following.

I'm the other way around: I frequent TT and hardly ever sign into TMF these days. In fact, I'm only here now to see if there's any word on the TT site being down.

Tickletheater had problems with their database when it was still up and running, making the website look broken. Because of this I fear it's possible it could be the final blow. I hope they'll be back soon, though. It was a huge forum for the tickling community and losing it would be a tremendous blow.

The problem is that the hosting company doesn't like to deal with HDS or me since neither of us is the owner, but we haven't been able to reach the owner at any of his known contact addresses. Someone renewed the domain recently but did so using an anonymous registration service, further complicating our ability to make contact. Unfortunately, all we can do is wait for someone at the hosting company to fix it.

The owner went dark a while ago. Weird if he did reactivate it like that.

While I appreciate that the Tickle Theater always had such a different vibe, I transitioned over here full time during one of the last outages. I did enjoy the feel there much more than here but I find myself wondering, at this point, if it's really necessary to have two major locations for us (tickle-philes)?

I do want it to stay and I want that community to stay together, but I bring this up because of the hosting errors and I don't see why that community can't stay here as a sub community of sorts.

That's what I thought too 🙂 Most postings and audience are the same so isn't one forum is mostly just a copy of the other?

I'd disagree, really. A lot of people who were big fans of Theater didn't want to post here, and probably vice versa. The whole feel of it was different, smaller, but more tight-knit. I heard TMF described as a City to TT's Town, and I think that's a fairly good comparison. Different sort of atmosphere. Although you are right, a lot of stuff is cross-posted between forums.

Though there wasn't that much traffic at the Theater, I always felt it was a tad more mature than here, didn't have all that flashing porn ads on the left side of the page, or Clips 4 Sale now hogging the top of the page with its continuiosly flashing rotating ads trying to flag down people who didn't want to visit the clips threads for some reason. (I've never been able to figure that last one out still.) I still appreciated the calm over there.

The TMF started out like an oasis for us tickle freaks to share adventures and offer support, and though lately it's gotten a bit more loud than it started out as, I'm still glad to have had both around.

Tried it just now. I get the opening screen, but when I click "agree" (to TOS) and click the button to advance the page, I get an error screen.

Pretty much as Knicks said, Theater was a great place specifically because it was smaller. Unfortunately it is true it's not nearly as active as it once was, a lot of members are a bit worried about losing their attachments permanently. But the website was a lot more friendly to new users due to the small size, people were easier to welcome and integrate with the community. I mean this website is great but it's really hard to kind of join in on when you are new, at least from my experience. I have always used this site more for the personals and sessions, not the discussions.

THis is two straight Sundays ive tried to log in to TT to no avail.

All I get is this page:

Database error
The database has encountered a problem.
Please try the following:

Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
Open the www.tickletheater.com home page, then try to open another page.
Click the Back button to try another link.

The www.tickletheater.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

🙁 🙁 🙁

Personally, I have to respectfully disagree. Returning to TT after almost 3yrs, I found it to be very unwelcoming indeed. This is by far the superior site and the mods are much more tolerant. I'm rarely here, let alone to argue, so don't waste your time. Hopefully it survives for the members sake, best of luck with that.
