what happened to the "report this post to moderators" button?

we are supposed to not admonish people for posting in the wrong section, but report the post and let the mods handle it. what happened to the button to do that?

It's the little red triangle in the upper right corner of each post, D..... :cool2:

The triangle with the exclamation point at the upper right hand corner of each post is the new button. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up on our own posts. So, we have to be careful to be good. :jester:

I don't think that reporting a problem is being a snitch or anything, Drew. It's like any other community. If you see a problem, you should do what you can to help resolve it. Often, that just means a reminder of posting guidelines or giving someone a chance to settle down from an upset. I know I've posted things in the past that I wish I'd kept my mouth shut about. It's kind of a safety net. "Did I go too far on this post? I'd better report it and let the mods decide." No biggie really. Besides (as I know from personal experience) it helps the mods out since they can't be in all places at all times to watch for things.

I agree with everyone on this 🙂

On the one hand, I'm glad people can report posts because as Ann said, we can't be everywhere at once and sometimes things really need to be removed.

On the other hand, some people could really stand to relax about being quite so precise about what posts belong where.
