I explained that men & women have different priorities. She wouldn't stay with him if he wouldn't keep a job so why should he stay supporting her if she was just going to lay around the house all day getting fat. Needless to say, she got a gym membership & got herself back in shape. Common sense hurts sometimes.

Being a thin guy it's easy to say that but much harder in practice. My wife is a very pretty, heavier girl (or "chubette" she says) who would like to be thinner but it's very very difficult especially when that's been a tendency since childhood. It didn't stop me from marrying her and I still love every inch (just wish she was ticklish...arghgh!). We do think about health issues but she keeps active and eats reasonably healthy. I don't think it's in the cards for her to be a skinny girl.

Isabeau...I used to get the "skinny chicken legs" comment...not a great deal we can do about that is there?
