Foot Fondler Strikes at Birmingham Movie Theater

When a girl put her feet up on the seat in front of her at a local movie theater, she says a man went out of his way to tickle them.

The man allegedly crawled under the seats in front of the girl and tickled her feet as she watched a film at Birmingham’s Palladium Theater.

The girl screamed and the man ran from the theater. He has not yet been caught.

7 Action News has been told the girl wore flip-flops to the theater.

Managers at the theater say the girl did not immediately report the incident. Instead, she returned the next day with her father and filed a police report.

The girl described the foot fondler as a black man in his 30s. He was said to be overweight and bald.

Not criticizing you, Steve, just the idiot tickling what sounds like an underage girl.
 
As a believer in safe, sane, and consensual ticking, I would have to say that he committed simple battery and should be arrested for it (if they can find him). :sowrong:
 
He stroked a girl's foot once and should be arrested for battery? A pervert acting like a pervert doesn't drag my image down just because we both like the same part of the female anatomy.
 
What a perv that guy was, and a moron. How many times have all of us passed by a female whose feet we wanted to tickle? This scenario of girls with their feet exposed happens to me all the time, as I am a regular moviegoer, and have a swimming pool in my complex. I dont just go around tickling random girls. It's like, control yourself, moron, or get a girlfriend to tickle. What he did was assault and battery, plain and simple. He should be arrested. Sigh!

So how does this guy's actions differ from the many of the behaviors that gained tacit approval and (in some cases) praise in the <a href="http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=6049">"Accidental Tickling"</a> thread?

Yes. You have no right to intentionally stroke any body part of a stranger, it is simple battery (as opposed to aggravated battery, in which injury is caused).

i find it amazing that after crawling under her seat, he wasnt already stuck to the floor before he even made it to her feet lol

I confess I've never read any of the posts in the Accidental Tickling forum, but it seems to me, doing something like that, without invitation, without consent... well, I'm no lawyer, so I don't know if it's a crime. But it's wrong. Morally, if not legally. When it comes to non-consensual tickling, stories and fantasies are one thing, so long as they stay stories and fantasies. But when they become reality, that's a problem. Even something as simple as this can lead to more extreme behavior later.
 
I think the thing that makes this guy's actions questionable is the fact that he "went out of his way" to tickle her feet, crawling under seats in front of her to get to her feet. This could easily be construed as battery, particularly if the girl is young enough that she has to return to the theater the next day with Daddy.

I have tickled girls' feet at movie theaters myself a couple of times, but in each case, the girl put her bare feet up right next to me on the back of the chair adjoining mine. It never even occurred to me NOT to tickle them. I figure if she's inconsiderate enough to put her bare feet right next to my head, then she's probably asking for a tickle anyway.

As it turned out, the girls simply yelped, and jerked their feet away. I turned and smiled, and that was that. One girl actually put her feet up more than four times. Bear in mind that these incidents happened at a time when people didn't go running to the police everytime someone looked at them funny. <sigh> the good ol' days.

Arrested is what happens before a trial. Innocent until proven guilty is what the jury is obliged to believe during the trial.

I repeat: He should be arrested.

If he pleads not guilty, then he should be given a fair trial, with the jury properly instructed to presume innocence until guilt is proven.

an overweight man is able to crawl under seats? In a movie theatre? That is just too funny to think about. I didn't realize there was enough room under there.
