Bath Time *^___^*

Heres a sketch I did this evening. A female elf getting ready to take a bath. ^^

I really like this one. The green tone makes it look really nice for some reason. Is that colored pencil or prisma?

Its neither. Like all my pictures, it was drawn with a regular old mechanical no.2 pencil. There were no prismas or other materials involved in this.

The green hue was done with a click of a button in ACDSee, and I darkened the contrast a little.

I chose green for this because elves are of course of irish/celtic folklore, and because green is my second favorite color. Somehow, I don't think a different color hue would have been appropriate for this.

Yet, another cool one!

I know what makes this one so special...

It's plainly the elf...
As elven's mark a difference between regular Anime girls... Elven's have long curled hair and big ears, and even their eyes are different depending on the artist...

It's like the thing between american girls with asian girls.

The one that feels what I feel for asian girls can tell, I don't really care what people sez about them, for example, that they don't take baths, that they're all perverted (like if this weren't good for a man!!!), that they're flat as boards from back to front, that they all look the same (BIG LIE), etc...

And to end it all... even the Korean and Japenese girls are pulled off with the same nationality (chinese), that's so not true, even the SOLES of their feet are different between nationalties!!!

I see american girls everyday single day of my life... So... I like them, but I'd like something different once in a while.

Asian girls are mystique, beautiful, they have long black hair that makes an unmatchable pair with their unique eyes...

Obviously...

The people who said most of this stuff, are joking or are complete ignorants... Not insulting the people who has the same opinion (hey! It's a free country)...

But my point is...

They make a great difference from regular girls, when you are sick tired of them, an elf will never let no one down!

Just being honest...

I'm just being honest...

As your art improves and comes new, so is the meaning of the draw itself, It's not a random thing anymore...

They all have something to say, I belive...

Like the Morrigan one (the one I felt it had a more deep meaning), It's still something I'm trying to figure it out.

It's just the way of the artist...

However, this is original. Just because its an elf doesn't make it not original. Thats like saying "oh, you drew a human being, millions upon millions of people since the beginning have been doing that, its not original."

What makes something original is what the artist does with the creation. Being that this is a simple bath scene, it would be impossible for you to claim its not original, as you don't know the character, and the nuances of her clothing, speech, or mannerisms and interaction with others are not there for you to see.

When it comes time for me to actually use this character in a productive and ongoing way, then you can say whether or not you feel its original.

I think saying it now is rather premature, even if it turns out to be the bath itself you were refering to. But thank you, your opinion is duely noted. 🙂
