Whenever a teenage kid offers his opinion about elections, war, the law, jobs, foreign policy or anything else in the "grown up realm" on a chat forum, and some geezer comes in - thinking that having a spouse and a job has imbued him with the secrets of the universe - tells the kid to keep his mouth shut and learn his place until he's grown up and seen more of the world, I think about the MANY stories like this one that remind me just how much the adults of this planet really have it together.

Jesse Sandler said he was one of the people pushing forward, using a folding chair he had brought with him to beat back people who tried to cut in front of him.

Hey....I just got a new fancy-dandy Dell Inspiron 6000 wireless laptop/notebook (whatever ya wanna call it) a month or so ago.....and it is good! ...just be sure to un-install all the crap 3rd party software they stick in it and it'll work just fine!

It fookin' rocks as a media machine! (i.e. digital DJ - with the SoundBlaster PCMCI card)

Didn't a similar thing happen a year or two ago when some Walmart was selling a cd (or was it dvd) player for only $29? I can't remember where it was, though...in FL, I think? Same crap happened, with people getting trampled..and no one arrested.

LOL, I gave up tryin to answer that question since about the mid 90s..and it just gets worse with every passing day. Pathetic and sad indeed this incident is, but hey...it dont surprise me one bit.

Yea, whatever bro....I live there. Dont judge the whole state from one incident LOL!! Lets offer 50 dollar laptops to people in North Carolina and see if you dont have people acting stupid there as well.

The funny thing is, most people that bought them didnt realize there was a difference between MACs and PCs, so NOW people are bitching because their "computers dont work like they were supposed to". More importantly, the laptops were sold stripped down; it would cost about 600 bucks in software to make them functional....which was another detail that was left out when the announcement to sell them back to the public was made.

From what I hear, there are some really good Linux distros available for Macs nowadays... They're free, and probably actually easier to use than some God-awful Apple operating system.
