3-D tickling art opinion

Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed alot of 3-D works of art in the Tickling Art Section, and not just on this site alone. Personally, Im not a big fan of that medium. When I think of art, I picture 2-D drawings, and anime stuff. Thats what I like to see. What do other people think of 3-D art, like it, hate it, don't care?

It depends on the art. Some of it is quite stunning, and looks photorealistic. Some of it's straight from the uncanny valley, and looks creepy.

But as to whether it's better or worse than 2D... nah. It's like with video games - some of 'em use hand-drawn sprites, some of 'em use textured models. 'long as they fit the style the artist is goin' for, it's all good.

3-D art, like any other medium, can be great or it can be awful. I'm certainly willing to look at it and comment if I like it. 😀

I guess it really depends on how much time the artist devotes to the actual image. i have seen some the look almost real and then there are those images that come out very scary looking. I think that 3D imaging is still in it's infancy, but down the line it will get much better. I expect that people will accept it as time goes by, just like we did from VHS to DVD to online file sharing.
