A couple questions

Hey all, I have a couple questions that have to do with self tickling.
One is; why is it that you can't tickle yourself? (or at least most people can't, I can't).
My other question is; and I'll explain this first; Lately I have been trying to tickle myself quite oftenly because
I have been dying to get tickled. It hasn't worked, it never tickles when I do it to myself. Now I am terrified that I
am no longer ticklish. Is it possible that I am not ticklish anymore? Or is it just that peopel naturally can't tickle themselves? If someone else tickles me, will it still tickle? I am asking these questions because I am very afraid that when I finally do get someone to tickle me, it isn't going to tickle because it doesn't tickle when I do it to myself.
I just wanna insure that that is not true.

One- A ticklish reaction is reflex. It is theorized that it is to warn you of danger. If you do it to yourself there is no surprise. That is the short answer.

Two-You haven't lost your ticklishness. Yes, normally people can't tickle themselves. If ever you were ticklish and you can still feel, you are still ticklish. I can't say for 100% sure you aren't ticklish. But I am more than 99% sure you still are. You gotta have faith.

3- Calm down! You are okay. You are totally still ticklish. But tickling yourself just doesn't work. (Please excuse this vulgar analogy, but....) You can't manipulate your nerves to be tickled; it isn't like masturbating. Some parts of the body can't be manipulated like others. So just relax, have a cold one and wait for that special someone to come along and find your sweet spot!
