I have a great FFFF/M interrogation scene worked up but I have so many figures in it that it just won't render in production mode (yet). The scene was done by request by one of the members, and I think it came out pretty well. My dilemna is this: Should I post a draft version up that looks OK now, and work on the Prod render, or just wait on the prod render?

Hey 3D,

your work is great. As far as your dilema I too have the same problem sometimes. I've tried a few things that might help...if you have not already tried them.

All my posted renders have been in Draft only, haven't used Production much at all.

There is a Tutorial at Renderosity.com called "the 30 second Psoer 5 render speed upgrade". Which basically says to change your Render options "Bucket Size" which is defaulted to 64....lower this to 32 or 16 this gives you a larger render block and frees the processor between blocks. Also, when I do Draft renders, I adjust the "Maximum texture resolution" which draft default is set to 1024....I increase that to 2048 or even 3072. This will give you a higher resolution without having it set to Production Max 4096.

give these a try and I hope they help.
