I went for my blood work report with my cardiologist today.

All went very well.

Cholesterol 167 total, which the Dr said was most acceptable to him.

BP was slightly high, but that could have been nerves.

Weight is in the low 190s, down from 206

All in all, a very solid visit.

Now, I have a reprieve until of all days Halloween!

I just have to continue what I've been doing, and God Willing, all will turn out fine

Thanks, Frenzy.

I saw my Dad yesterday for the first time since the day after Father's Day., He's dealing with very serious pain issues.

We had a very nice visit, but of course "Dear Old Dad" had to make a comment.

He said. "You look like you gained weight"

I probably have. The last few weeks have been difficult due to migraines, and the after effects of my quarterly shot.

I've been going to a lot of baseball games this summer. A "Comeback" from when I could barely get out of bed last year before and after the minor stroke.

I'll be okay, but, oh, I'm going to Mets V Braves tomorrow night at Citi Field, and I'm sure I will be engaging in some eating lol

You’re welcome, Mitch. I’m sorry about your Dad and your migraines but it’s good to hear you’re out & about to baseball games. Hope it’s a great game and that you enjoy yourself!

If you don’t go walking, sorry I don’t remember if you have a treadmill or exercise bicycle, or are already doing any of this —

You can obviously exercise in your home (you probably do!)
Even doing chair exercises, moving your legs up & down as if you’re walking, marching while sitting, 30, 50, 75 steps, :marchofthekitties:
maybe 2-3 times a day?
Or one of those little Floor bicycle pedal machines may enable you to exercise your legs while watching TV…

Google “mini bicycle” or “floor cycling machine”, there are so many options!

——- And small weights, even just 1 lb, or 2 or eventually 3, and so on, might help your upper body,
even in a chair! :flex: Moving arms up & down, sideways out & in, moving your whole upper body side to side,
either holding Independent weights or those that wrap around wrists or ankles.

I’ve gotten them from drug stores. (Of course I should actually use them…🙄) Or move to music freestyle, or get exercise dvds from the library, or some tv channel. Just 15-20 minutes a day can make a difference!

Ask your doctor first, of course, s/he may have given you specific exercises,
and if you can exercise in your home safely, gradually, it might help! Captain Obvious out.

Thanks, Frenzy.

I walk a lot. I think I use my migraines as a "Reason" not to go to the gym. All of my doctors have told me that I cant do the treadmill because of the potential of falling with the dizzy spells and migraines. Yet, I can do the exercise bike, I should, and I will.

Thanks as always for your support. You're a great guy. Hope you're well
