a question about certain forums here?

i tried to check on the forum link artisans of the something ink..rats i can't remember..anyway it says requires a password for entry to this section..how does one get that? does the password used to log onto the theater work?

It is most likely a restricted subforum, one that is off-limits to regular viewers, possibly a technical/organisatorial thing that has been given a funny name. Don't know why it is actually visible though...

Sometimes we're lazy and create forums for a special purpose and give only authorized users access via a password. The real thorough way to do it is to create the forum and make it hidden to all but one usergroup, placing all users with access in that usergroup. Fret not about it; no forums you should have access to are protected in that way.

ah thanks you two...but the curiosity within me wants to see what is behind the hidden door..err i mean forum..

actually i was looking at someone's profile who is on my friend list..and you know if they are visible it tells what they are doing at that particular moment..and i saw the link...clicked on it..and that's when i got the message saying i couldn't gain access...sniffs...i feel so left out now...lol..
