One question for you girls out there

I'd love to know what different, important, things each of you look for when your looking for a tickling friend, in person, or on this forum.
-then everyone can act like that - lol joking

but seriously.

Things like, well, anything!

Pretty much, I look for others who amuse me in some way or another. And I don't mean that in exactly the egocentric way it sounds...

I like people who are similar to me. Who are kind, funny, intelligent and amusing. Either here or in real life, you need to be able to hold non tickling conversations with a person. Not everything is about tickling (OMG I know! I'm soo getting lynched for that! LOL!), so you need to be able to connect in other ways.

I love the abonormal and the interesting. Intrigue me with philosophy or art. Tell me something cool about anime. Show me a kick ass music vid. These things will get my attention way faster than your yummy feet pics and descriptions of how you want to tickle me. Those things are superficial lusts for me and while I like them, they will become a dime a dozen fast. You need to roll with me on a much more intense plane...

Bottom line... Be yourself. Be honest to who you are. Do not be afraid to voice your opinion here. Treat others with respect and when they do cross you, be the bigger person and diffuse the situation with intelligence instead of coarse words. Share your thoughts. Share your ideas. If you are not positive about something, then ask.

But above all else, be yourself!

What do I look for in a tickling friend? Everything I look for in a regular friend. Trustworthiness, humor, kindness, empathy, similar interests.

To answer the OP, I don't really look at someone as just a tickle partner. I look to make real friends who just happen to also enjoy tickling. The biggest thing I look for in a friend is a similar sense of humor. If someone can make me laugh, that's more than 1/2 the battle. Otherwise, it's hard to say. I just look for someone I click with 🙂 Oh, and being a playful and rather enthusiastic ler doesn't hurt 😉

Though i didn't mean to give the impression that a person who steals grandma's purse would be forgiven if they were interested in tickling-being tickled by me. lol have I?
 
someone who can be a vanilla friend first and formost..not everything is tickling related it is just a bonus. Freinds are very dear to me. have to be loyal, honest, trustworthy and fun to be around.
 
Someone who I could trust, of course, and who could make me laugh without tickling me first is a good start. I love it when someone actually has a sense of humor! Also, I like someone who is able to carry on an intelligent conversation and who's passionate about life. And someone with a heart 🙂 Basically the same qualities that my "regular" friends have.
 
I don't look for a tickling friend. My partner does it wth me and if I want then I can also go to such an S&M party. Haha, but finding new friends is always geat and if they tickle me then it's even more fun, but only as friends and not as something sexual.
 
I dunno about you... but when guys send me PMs wanting to tickle my feet ... I usually go for those guys because they don't seem perverted at all and obviously they are interested in knowing me!
 
I think it's gross if somebody pms ya whether they can ticle you. That's not erotic, that's juz stupid and childish.

I mean it' s really not creative to ask someone whether ya can tickle them. But anyeay, thry your luck if you thik that works, but don't wonder if you get a slap in your face. Haha ..at least I would do that.

i'll try to list those qualities i haven't yet seen listed rather than be repetitive. i think all the listed qualities thus far are good and important.

* you should be someone i feel safe and comfortable around, as opposed to skeevy
* you should be able to communicate effectively to ask for what you want and understand when i say what i want which is part of negotiating what will occur
* you should be clear about your intentions -- playful or sexual tickling, foot fetish, etc
* you should be able to relax and have a great time, even if you're a little nervous.

sorry, somehow my post didn't include everything, so here's some more:

* we should have a safeword or, if not, then you stop if i say stop.
* if you're on tmf and have friends and posts, that's always a good thing, especially if your posts aren't all responses to personal ads
* you should have read my 'about me' section and taken a look at my postings or at least have seen my posts as you read through tmf, so that you know something about me

i'm sure there's other things, but this is what i've come up with off the top of my head.

Exactly. I can't even count the number of times that guys have PMed or IMed me "wanting to get to know" me. As soon as I stopped answering tk questions or had the nerve to talk about anything else, they'd disappear.

I have a good number of friends in this community, many of whom I've hooked up with in real life. Though we might poke back and forth a bit, most of our time is spent just hanging out and relaxing. We may have met because of tickling. But, we became friends because there's more to our lives than tickling which we have in common.

Bottom line...? I'm interested in the whole person, not just the tickle loving part of you. If that's all you want to talk about, I'll tend to walk away.
