A request: NEST for dummies

Hi all,

NEST is coming. It's not quite around-the-corner yet, but it's coming. The date has been set in stone. For many years, gatherings were idle fantasies. Last year, it was something I considred going to, but couldn't quite pull it together.

This year, I'm going. I am set on it. I'm going to take time off from work and GO.

My question is, what steps need to be taken? I'm a rank newbie when it comes to gathering. Heck, I'm not even a big traveler. I guess this is sort of a request for a step-by-step hodgepodge. Some things on my mind:
Where is it usually held? Hotel? Club?
How far is it from an airport or train station? (I dislike driving and I can probably cough up for train tickets).
Who do we register with?
How much money should we plan to spend besides the hotel fees?
How much does NEST cost?
Who handles most of the logistics, so that I know who I owe a beer?
Come to think of it... is drinking against NEST rules?
What are the tickling-allowed/tickling-not allowed places? If someone told me tickling happened 24/7 I wouldn't be disappointed, but I imagine some people need a break.

This is an exciting time for me. I get to go to a place where my interest isn't just not freakish, it's what we ALL have in common, where tickling isn't a fantasy but it's the name of the game.
I also get to associate faces and voices with the screennames, and that's very exciting for me as well.

Advice would be appreciated, and any other info on questions I forgot to ask would be great too.

Heya dude. I was a NEST newbie last year and I'm glad there are more coming out this year. Hopefully, I can give you a newbie-eye view of some of your questions. 🙂

Steps that need to be taken: Register by either filling out a registration form or by having someone to vouch for you. (coming soon)

Where?: There's usually one hotel that most people stay at. The actually event took place at a club last year.

Dunno about train, but the hotel we were at last year had a shuttle to/from the Philly airport.

Registration to come soon.

Last year's costs were $20 admission, $65/night for hotel. Food was supplied at the event, but other than that, you're on your own for food.

Logistics last year were handled mostly by QBWeaver and MaxSpeer.

Drinking at the event was carefully monitored. If I remember correctly, there was a 3 drink max.

Id be interested in learning about NEST. Ive been lurking here for a quite a bit and i think it would be an awesome opportunity to attend a party where everybody is actually interested in tickling. Any help would be appreicated
