Mike Rose
Mike was one of my employees. He turned 19 on Tuesday. Now some background on Mike. I dont like him, mostly because he is a pain in my ass, but for other reasons as well. He is a good kid with not much of a brain (he is 19), and has an ego larger then mine. (for anyone who knows me this is not a small feat) He is a good looking kid, his body is cut but not large, 6'2" tall about 190. Not smart but was witty with talking himself up. He never met a mirror he didnt like. Over all a good 19 year old kid. The reason why I dont like him most is a rather funny story for anyone who did not have to go through it.
I share a twin with a married lesbian couple. These are not nice lesbians, they are man-hating lesbians. For a while my company that i started about 12 months prior was overgrowing my home and I had about 7 guys meeting at my house on a daily basis. To say the least we did not fair well with our neighbors. Any way one day Mike and Joe came back to the house early one day and I was not here to let them in and put away their equiptment. After waiting about 15 minutes, Mike decides he has to pee. Now most guys know they can go about anywhere and it is relatively OK, just dont get caught. I have relieved my self in plain view many times and have not gotten caught along with about 99% of all the other guys in the world. Well mike decides to try and hide between our twin and take care of business, and mid stream gets caught by my neighbors. Now I am not on the good side of my neighbor to begin with and now the one thing my neighbor has gone to great lengths not to see, she sees peeing on her house. Little did I know that my neighbors was also very good friends with the mayor of my town. I receive a call from the mayors office the following morning and asked to come in and see her. I was lectured by the mayor of Lansdowne for about an hour (one of the longest hours of my life) about the infraction Mike caused. To say it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life is putting right where it should be. He was fired because of this. This is why I dont like Mike.
On Mikes day off he was going to go out with his buddies hang out, probably get drunk, normal day. Mike also liked to huff. Either the night before or the morning of he was huffing and he went out. He didnt wake back up. Here is a 19 year old kid, with everything to look forward to, and he doesnt wake up. I didnt like the kid, but I didnt want to see him die. My employees were a little taken aback. It hit us pretty hard in fact. I have been helpful with the guys hit hardest by this, but it has been tough. I am not sure how to feel about death sometimes and I know this is not the best way to send someone off but I had to get it out of me. I hope no one takes this out of context because what I am truly trying to say is I am sorry to see the kid go, and I hope he is in a better place.
