A word of thanks

I just wanted to take a moment to voice something I don't recall ever saying... if I could lock this thread, I would, as I don't want it to turn into a political debate over the why, what, how, when or where.

I have never served in the armed forces. I've lived my entire life in peace, never seeing those things that no one can understand except for the brave few who have been where no man or woman should ever have to go. I've never experienced the fear of battle, the loss of life, the risk of courage.

I've never experienced these things because of you. You who protect us, preserve our freedom; putting yourselves on the line so that we can be a free people.

To all of you who are returning, and those of you being deployed. To those of you who have ever served in our armed forces. From every nation who believes in freedom...

You are my heros. You are why we are free.

Very well said. Beautiful and simplistic. To the point, and I agree with you entirely.

If you wish, PM Myriads. I think he would understand and would grant your request, and now mine. It has happened once before where I wanted a thread closed and he closed it, no ands ifs or buts. I would imagine he would do you this favor.

I believe nothing need be said here. I think we should just bask in the awesomeness of this great sacrifice and service.
