Chat room
Since Scott/Psycho was the person who first registered the chatroom, he maintained ultimate control over it, and has decided to turn it back into a God chat, locking out our moderators and such. A surprisingly petty action, considering his statement of wishing to do 'no harm' to the forum he created.
But it's his choice, and his room. We'll deal.
In time we'll get a new room that is just ours. Until then, we'll chat in 'God's Room'. The facts are, our user flow that feeds into the room is so much heavier then Scott's new forum's, that we'll tend to dominate any conversation there. I doubt the 'Godly' will stick about for long, and if they do, they will see we are people just like them and perhaps they will learn something 🙂.

i know ive suggested this b4, but it would be a great idea to have a chatroom on an irc server, then we can have great security and leave bots in there for when the mods are away - we can also use several really good programs to chat from as opposed to chatting through a web browser..
what dya think?

I seem to recall the old #ticklefun channel on Efnet (as opposed to the #tickling set up by cb and currently owned by Nightfall_PA, on Dalnet) also used a bot for security -- which led to the death of the channel when a bunch of outsiders took over the bot and set it to lock out everyone, just for kicks. So I'm not sure how much trust I'd put in a bot.

bots
its always possible to take over bots using scripts etc.. however there are ways round it, like having two bots similtaniously for example makes it harder to take over.
there are always risks, just look whats happened here in our chat room. 🙂
