Oh, the topic on hand...eh...I'll just say there are many types of elves and they don't necessarily always have to be grouped in 'known categories'. Sometimes the best thing is to make up your own 'subdivision'. ^^ When I saw 'Black Elf' describing Stipp, I knew it meant 'evil/dark' over some color designation immediately...just by her expression. 😉

Fairfeather, you speak upright, but how are we to know that you yourself are not in league with the Keebler elves?! Better yet, how do we know you aren't one of them yourself and are merely using 'fair guise' or are wearing a human costume?! You know, like the Trix rabbit in that commercial where he dressed in an old lady suit.

Elves are immortal. We know that, except for half-elves, who live much longer lives than an average human but are not immortal. So in Lord of the Rings, does that mean whats her name, I can't remember it right now Eowyen or something like that can actually give up her immortality? Its as if they were implying it was inside that jewel necklace that she wore. The one she gave to Aragorn.
That raises another interesting question- are elves immortal by birth, or is this the work of the their high elf magic?
Though again, its probably strictly a Lord of the Rings thing with elves.
Anyways, I'm about through with this conversation. Its really out of place in this forum, though because it was an art question also I put it here. If you want, we can let it get bumped down the list. I don't mind. Unless of course anyone has anything to say. If and when you do feel free to post. Later. 🙂
