Me and Mike go back. Waay back. Before there was a TMF, TickleTheatre, Tickle Universe, etc....there were about 10 of us who seemed to always catch these little mainstream clips. If I leave any one off please apologize, but Juggler, Myself, Bandit, Ironic Tickler, Mike, and a few others were always getting this stuff. Ironic had his own place. I was a mainstay at the Pad, with Bandit, but I lurked AMT, where Juggler stayed mostly. The Pad was where I met Mike.
We all inhabit this cyberworld, and meet alot of people. We develop these lttle relationships, and then that person will leave the web, and we find ourselves starting over with new friends. Some of the friendships are strong, some arent quite as serious, some have even sparked romance and marriage.
I can say without hesitation that Mike, or "my tag team partner", is one of the best friends I have met on the internet. Few people understand the calamity that truly is finding these mainstream scenes, be it the hours and hours of tape that is viewed (typically without anything turning up), or the tiny rush you get when you tape something on a whim and strike gold. I wouldnt consider it obsessive, but it can certainly be time consuming and even agonizing at times (running out of tape halfway through a live show on the shopping channel, for example). Some of you will read this and think Im crazy, but Mike knows what Im talking about. If I didnt catch something he usually did, and we have been trading tapes back and forth for about 6 or 7 years. The first scenes I sent him that he missed were 2 Roshumba clips (one from VH-1, the other from the now defunct Ainsley Harriet Show). And since then we have been working together ever since. Mike never, ever dicked me on a trade, and in a hobby where almost everyone has been burned at least once, Mike never once did that. He has forgotten about trades before 😉, but he always made good on it. We never had to go through the "send me yours first" motions; it was instant trust, which in cyber world is a rare find. And in between all of the vhs trades, I gained something more valuable than any scene is worth. Although, I bet he would almost consider trading our friendship for that elusive Rosario Dawson, Rachel Leigh Cook-Tara Reid scene from ET that me and him have looked for for years now (Im kidding of course.).
Mike, you have my e-mail, and I know we will stay in touch (I think you just need a little break), I just wanted everyone to have another insight into what a great person you are and what a great friend you have been.
And if you miss anything, tag team partner, chances are I'll catch it.
