This one is somewhat insignificant and minor, but worth sharing:
I had an acupuncture session the other day, at a place I'd never been. So I had an initial assessment from the acupuncturist, who was a woman in her mid-40s. She asked me if it was ok if she pressed on my stomach, which scared me because it's always incredibly ticklish when doctors do that - but it actually didn't really tickle because she did it over my shirt and used really firm pressure. Then she also felt along both ribs at the same time, starting at the top and working her way down. Somehow (I guess I was having an off-day!) it only tickled a very tiny bit, but what was great was that she said, "Some people think that this feels ticklish." Which was a funny way to say it - but also great that she said it.
It made me wish I could be a fly on the wall to witness the exams of all those people 🙂
