Advice/Opinions on different browsers

I would appreciate some feed back on this.I use Internet Explorer,its all i have ever used and i'm still pretty new to the computer world.I notice that when i open some threads the page spills over the edges of my monitor and its worse when there are attchments such as in the audio/video forum.

Am i correct in assuming this is a browser issue?I don't know anything about Foxfire,Mozilla etc.Any suggestions,in English please would be welcome.I should add this happens on web sites other then the TMF.

I really think there is format setting of some sort in your ie tools and options to help with the way your pages are formatted but i can't for the life of me remember where it is at the moment. I've always really liked firefox, i've had no real problems with compatibility with websites, streaming audio/video, or flash programs.
