Some of my students today asked what I thought about the speech. I told them how I quit listening to them, because most of the time, Bush doesn't actually say anything. Words fly out of his mouth, but they don't mean too much at all. Most of the time, it's choice phrases like, "War on terrorism," "more troops to Iraq," "national security," and so on. These are becoming useless soundbites (aside from the more troops). The War on Terrorism is almost symbolic anymore; it's now looking more and more like an excuse for something else I don't think Americans are educated enough on from the government.
When Bush is finally out of office, I think all Americans have a lot of reflections to make. Bush has screwed up a lot of things, from personal privacy to education (don't even get me started on that -- he has managed to fuck up the US educational system as much as possible). I think we should all be really reflective when we cast our vote this year and look more deeply into whom we are voting for.

I hate how people equate verbal ability with intelligence. Yes he does stutter bad at times and is not an accomplished speaker like Bill Clinton but who cares

Vae said:You misread me. I said that I told them that I don't really watch them anymore, because I don't agree. I am firmly against giving my kids any ideas because they need to formulate their own.
And hey. I'd really fucking appreciate it if you'd ask me before you make any assumptions of what I'm saying or how I do my job. I don't appreciate it when someone accusing me of "failing" my education system because of my "poisoning." You don't like what I have to say? Don't fucking listen but do NOT assume one fucking thing about me.![]()

According to Maniactickler, this is a great President. Which is why getting into an argument with this individual is an energy wasting trap.
