A tourist in Spain was eating steak in a restaurant not too far from the bullfighting stadium just after the days' contests were done. He noticed that the two men at the table next to his table were eating some large round meaty items, two in each of their plates, and he suspected what they were, but wasn't sure.
When his waiter came, he asked, "What are those men eating?"
"Bulls' testicles," said the waiter. "Very expensive, the supply is limited, there are only eight contests on the days when we have bullfighting here, and we only take them from a bull that fought bravely before dying. Many men believe that eating them will give you some of the bull's power. You have to order them a day in advance, and you can't be sure that there will be enough available that day."
Well, the tourist was going to be there the whole week, so he put in his order for the next day.
The next day he went to the restaurant without attending the bullfights beforehand. He was quite disappointed when the testicles he received on his plate were much smaller and paler in color than the ones he had seen the previous day.
"Why are these so small compared the testicles I saw them eating yesterday?" he asked.
"Oh," said the waiter, "the bull doesn't always lose."
