Age difference?

never had a real issue with age. there are so many women out there that a far older than me, but i still find very attractive. Mistress Aura, for example, is a hottie in my opinion.

Such a sweet, unexpected compliment, CG2K...! 😱 A bit puzzling at first, as well, but I forgot you saw me on MySpace...LOL Still, it's flattering to know I have "presence'...😉

however, there are some of the younger ladies i'm generally not attracted to. i have come across a few 18-20 year olds that may have a great body, but the personality is terrible.

Interestingly, my husband advises that that very thing is one of the reasons he was attracted to me initially--he said for the most part, he'd never met a female in his own age bracket who seemed as though she had "the capacity to think about anyone other than her own wants to the exclusion of everything and everyone else, her looks--and money. My money..."

(Here's a hint for my female compadres: Having a real and loving relationship with someone significantly younger than yourself has another perk--it can be even better than Olay or Clinique. 😉 😀 )

but, i guess it makes no difference, really. as many people has stated in the past "Age is just a number.", and generally has no real reflection on personality or levels of maturity, as i have seen 30-40 year old women that still, in the right conditions, act just like a 5 year old child.

Absolutely. I have the power to do that as well and have been known to from time to time. It's always better, though, if it doesn't happen while I have a bound victim before me... LOL

Age really is only as important as you allow it to be--and if you're willing to make necessary compensation for the occasional glaring reminder (so far, the biggest glitch for Bill and me is music-- 🙄 LOL) but really love the soul and spirit beyond the body, 18+ coupled with any age can work and work well.

Ahhhh, it's the monthly "age difference" thread. Once again...the whole age difference thing is just one more way for society to divide itself.

My Bob is 10 years older than me, I'm 30, he's 40. Before I met Bob I was in a relationship with a man 32 years older than me, I was 25, he was 57. I've never been with a younger man so I can't comment on that but I do know that older men bring much experience to the relationship 🙂

I think we usually seek a partner of similar maturity. If the conversational/intellectual isn't satisfying us, the relationship won't last despite how other factors are.

Living in LaLa Land, I really prefer dating older. Women my age and younger seem to have an abundance of childishness out here. The last woman I dated was seven years older. Such a pleasant experience, she did her feminine thing and let me do my masculine thing. We complemented each other, as it should be. Balanced each other. None of the nonsense. But alas, a company lured her to the east coast....

Age IS a good indicator for matching maturity, but obviously only an indicator. As many have said previously, if the person is right for you, the number of years matters not.

I can tell you that age gap relationships can work. One of my very favorite partners is more than 15 years younger than me. Another lady that I'm quite fond of is 12 years older. Whether or not it works for you though depends on how you and your partners view it.

As for how you and your partners view it... I think it does depends on what kind of relationship you're looking for. For me, for example, if I was looking for the one person with whom I'd spend the rest of my life, I'd hope for someone who I could reasonably expect to survive with me into retirement age. Of course, one can never predict these kinds of things with certainty, so it's hard to say how important they should be. It's just another thing to think about...
