My wife (27, F) has recently gone on a two week vacation with some friends (two male, one female). I had to stay behind for work reasons.
A bit of context about my wife. She's a short, thin woman, with green eyes and long red hair. She's quite a bit weaker than her three friends, and she's deathly ticklish. Ribs, belly, armpits, knees, feet – she can't stand being touched on any of them. Even the slightest touch will have her thrashing and laughing. I won't lie - I use this against her a lot. It's like an instant win button.
Anyway, I was talking to one of the people going, and we were chatting about the holiday. He asked if there was anything he should know about her, and I mentioned she was ticklish. When he asked for details, I decided "why not"? So I told him all about her ticklish spots, and thought nothing more of it.
Anyway, she was there for two days when she messaged me out of the blue. Apparently, she had a bone to pick with me! It seems her friend shared the knowledge, and thus over those two days the following has happened:
Apparently these were only the big tickles, they're also poking her ribs and scribbling over her foot constantly.
Everything's stacked against her. It's a warm place, so she's usually barefoot and thinly dressed. She's the weakest of the group, and with them ganging up on her, she's got basically no chance to escape or fight back. She's just got to sit there and laugh hysterically until they decide to give her a break. And they enjoy her desperation too much to let her off easily.
So basically, what I've done is sentence my wife to two weeks of constant, unrelenting and inescapable tickle torture. On the one hand, I'm weirdly excited to know that she's being tormented so thoroughly, and every update I get shows that it's just going to get worse for her.
On the other hand, I feel maybe a little bad? She's so desperately ticklish, completely unable to protect herself, and now she's barely going a day without being tickled into gasping pleas.
AITA? Should I try to help her? Or should I just enjoy the knowledge that she's not getting a moment's escape from the tickling?

- When they first settled into the caravan, they decided to check if my information was correct. A quick rib tickle had her collapsing onto the floor, screaming with laughter. Soon one friend was holding her arms over her head and another was sitting on her ankles, leaving her completely immobilised. She was barefoot and in a tank top, so she was utterly defenceless against them testing each of her tickle spots, one by one. Suffice to say, I was honest! As she was sitting there cackling, going red and begging them to stop, they kept taunting her over how I'd "betrayed" her and how they were going to have a lot of fun with this. Apparently it took nearly 20 minutes before they finally got through all of them - what can I say, I was thorough! - and left her gasping on the floor.
- During a trip to the beach, she was sunbathing in her bikini when they decided to pick her up and bury her in a hole. Once fully covered in sand, they decided to start tickling her feet, focusing on her kill spot between her toes. She howled with laughter and tried to wiggle out, but someone was at the top, pushing her back under and re-covering her in sand, as well as tickling her neck and shoulders to worsen her situation. Apparently they found the combination of her being both utterly desperate and completely unable to escape hilarious. When she finally escaped, they sat on her as she crawled away and started tickling her again!
- That night, everyone was sitting in a hot tub, when her friends next to her leant back and pinned her arms against the tub. They then took the opportunity to tickle her under the arms, watching as she screamed with laughter and tried to pull herself free. As she begged them to stop, much to their mocking laughter, the girl on the other side began tickling her feet and knees too, catching them as they kicked and thrashed. They decided that they were going to keep her there until she could hold in her laughter for a minute, which she was way too ticklish to do. So she just spent the night squeaking, laughing, trying desperately to hide the laughter and begging for respite. She didn't say how long it took, but there's no way she would have managed to stay quiet quickly.
