An interesting conclusion...

I when I first realised my tickling love was actually a fetish, I was 14 years old. I started planning things out and figuring out how things could be done safely.

I, over the years, came to these conclusions.

1. The tickling should be done while the person being tickled is tied up.

2. A timer would be better than a safeword(personal preference, not a fact).

I went onto an online community to find out that just about everyone uses bondage, and alot of people on her already had the idea of using a timer, or combining a safeword and timer together.

Did anyone else find that they had ideas in common with people who had them long before they did?

I can't believe it's a coencedence(My shitty spelling) that so many people would all share the same conclusion, many of which not hearing it from other sources but genuinly coming up with it origionally.

The reason I'm wondering this, is I think there is something in common with us.

I've read alot of threads who's replyers contribute to the idea that most of us either really hated tickling their whole childhoods or really loved it their whole childhoods.

Or it could be that some sector in our brain is much more active or inacitve than someone elses.

The reason I want to know that is that if there are people with brains and fetishes that line up with mine, and have hte same train of thinking, maybe the people here also share some other traits as well that they don't know about.

can anyone relate?

Before I discovered the online tickling community I always thought it'd be awesome to pair tickling and bondage -- I thought it was the most creative and unique idea ever 🙄

(addressing a tiny part of your post 😛 )

Personally, if we weren't such an (apparent) minority in being tickling fetishists, I would be hoping scientists would do more research into why people have a fetish for tickling 🙂

I know there's been quite a few studies released about how more typical BDSM, etc. works scientifically, and it seems like the same principle applies to tickling fetishes but, even so...I think there could be more to it 😛

I do remember loving to be tickled when I was younger, but somehow always embarrassed by it, though. In real life, I used to be quite shy about sex and my body, but gotten over it (for the most part) as I got older. Tickling still remains something I have to talk about on the internet, or I'd blush in real life just saying the word 😛

Not sure what my point is here at the end, just rambling about myself if it helps at all 😀

Oh, and this too. I swear 😀

I think I disagree with you. Let me just make sure I understand you.

You're saying that aside from our tickling fetish, the fact that other ideas like bondage and timers occur to us indicates that we think more similarly than any other random sets of people?

I don't see any reason to believe this. Bondage, timers... all the tickling things occurred to lots of people independently because they're logical extensions of the first thought. Tickling is great, but people fight back and protect themselves. Solution = bondage, for example. That's just logic.

So we DO have something in common... our fetish. And our common fetish will cause us to dwell on similar thoughts and reach similar conclusions - through logic. That's all.

I also think that it's just logical to come to that conclusion. It's just the next step from wanting to tickle someone or wanting to be tickled for a longer time period.

Although I don't think a timer alone is a good idea.
