Dear Arsene,
Why are you such a bad sport?
Your Arsenal team have managed to go 49 games unbeaten; isn't that something to be proud of? Sure, you were stopped from reaching a half-century by Man Utd at Old Trafford, by a dubious penalty decision; but how many cricketers get bowled out on forty-nine runs and complain about it? Only about 1%, I'll wager.
Yes, Rooney dived on Sunday. It shouldn't have been a penalty. But the one where Christiano Ronaldo was brought down a few minutes later definately was, and it wasn't given. And what about the blatant penalty United didn't get last year and Highbury. You'd have lost you're stupid unbeaten run then if we'd got a bit of luck.
And your selective blindness really winds me up. Of course, you got a crystal clear view of the penalty decision from your outpost in the dugout, yet you claim you 'didn't see' Jens Lehmann throw a can of soup at Sir Alex Ferguson in the tunnel! You would have been there, mate, how could you miss it???
And you complain about Ruud van Nistelrooy's tackle on Ashley Cole, and say that United were very violent and dirty. Yet you have players like Viera and Lauren whose job it is to go in as hard on people as they can. When it's done against you it suddenly becomes unfair. Patrick Veira stood at the referee's side the whole game, trying to orchestrate things. That's out of order.
And do you forget the disgraceful brawl your players started in the game last season? That is the worst thing I have ever seen in football. Yet you claimed you didn't see that, either (as if anyone could not see it), and later state that it was a good thing as it was borne out of 'determination' and 'commitment'. Uh huh. So United's 'dirty' play was borne out of commitment, too.
What's the matter, Arsene? Don't like it when when people twist your comments against you? Yeah, I thought not.
