Los Angeles. Tickling.

They go together so naturally, yet there's never been an ongoing munch or gathering here. The great DVNC (now of the Canadian tropics) hosted one or two fly-by-night parties here, but there hasn't been anything lasting.

Until now.

By right this post belongs in the Gatherings section, and I'll put one there too, but I want to catch the eye of as many Lost Angels as I can. It's time we met.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you're at all interested in a no-pressure, laid-back, meet-n-greet lunch. Most likely somewhere in Hollywood. Maybe the beach, depending on who contacts me.

As for me, I've been around the TK community from way back when someone came up with the idea to call it "TK." I know DVNC very well, I've attended many gatherings, and I'm familiar with the TK scene here in LA, or lack thereof. PLEASE feel free to email me. I won't attach you to any list if you don't want me to. You can ask me questions, I'll answer, it's all good. I'm not out to scam anyone, I would just love to follow in DVNC's footsteps of bringing people together, and that's all.

LA is currently a place of tickling commerce -- pay-to-play. That shouldn't be where the majority of tickling is happening. It's much more fun when it's mutual, no?

And, once an LA core group is established, I'm hoping others will travel to see us once we start (IF we start) having a party or two. I'm looking at you, Hawkikim! And you, Ms. Bella! And Dan, you and the cavebear! Jobelle, you too.

Things are, indeed, shaping up nicely again on the West Coast...

We had a Golden Age for a while, and we spoiled ourselves silly with an unprecedented average of approximately one event a month, be it an honest-to-goodness Gathering, or a Munch, which sometimes could simply turn INTO a Gathering afterwards, if nobody had any other commitments and were up for some play. Then, sadly, things took a turn for the worse, and our land of milk and honey dried up for a while. But people remember fondly the bonds of friendship (and restraint, LoL), and pine for a return to that bygone era...

A furry bear with the speed of rope, a cloud of feathers, and a hearty, "Hi, Yo Grizzman, awayyyyyyy!!"

Come on out, Gang! If you're reading this, you've already made it farther than I used to dream could be possible, and I'm fairly certain in my prediction that if you don't see how much fun we have together, you'll regret not coming out. If you're nervous, you're not alone! First-times are nerve-wracking for everyone, and we promise not to bite (we're more the nibbler type, anyhow). Northern or Southern California, you're in good hands. Ask around. Safety and comfort are paramount, and the fun is all mutual or it doesn't happen. You KNOW ya wanna... TELL me you haven't dreamed of it being this real! Speak up, step forward, you'll love it and wish you'd done it years ago! The meek shall inherit no tickles!

And we're gonna do it, guys. After the holiday hub-bub. Everyone interested will get a private email from me telling them of the wheres and whens. I'll be in New England for the first week and a half of January, so when I get back is when we'll get serious about the date.

That gives all of you on the fence another couple of weeks to think it over, let in mull in your mind like a cinnamin stick.

Today IS a particulary warm sun day here in LA. And the sky is actually BLUE, not smoggy! It won't last, so it's definitely worth noting.

And I wanted to wish everyone a happy new year...
