Animal Abuse On Youtube (Something I'll never understand)

I just watched a video where a US soldier throws a puppy off a cliff. And I saw another video where a guy also throws a dog off a bridge. You know what I don't understand about this crap? I mean besides actually doing it. Why is it that a bunch of assholes feel it's necessary to remind us it's JUST an animal. And it's not like it's a human. I mean why is that always necessary?

I mean can't people simply be outraged by this crap without saying that shit? And you know what else I'll never understand? Someone is always ready to give an excuse to do something horrible to one of these animals. Like the soldier throws the puppy off the cliff. What's the excuse behind it? He was stressed out! I understand stress. I can't imagine what it's like being in the middle of a war, but there is absolutely no excuse for that! I mean their supposed to be representing America!

And what kind of excuse can you give to some asshole who throws a dog off a bridge? You can't! No excuse can be given! So you say "It's not like it was a human being." I mean animals are made out of Styrofoam right? It's not like they breath and bleed red or anything like that....
 
Wait. I'm confused. The people who are outraged at this are also the same people who say it's just an animal?
 
I am using my three cats stacked as a pyramid held together by a combination of Gak and cable from airplane headphones to use as an Ottoman. Am I in the wrong, too?

I joined a Facebook group once that'd been set up to somehow catch two kids who beat the living shit out of a cat and filmed it, uploaded it onto Youtube. I thought it was fake at first but after a while I just couldn't get through it. It was real. And sickening. They eventually caught the kids. I think enough people on Facebook joined that someone recognized the kids.

But I really couldn't wrap my head around it. I can understand doing that to another human being (that's a different discussion), but an animal? A TABBY CAT?!?!?!

Ugh.

I went out and bought my cat Fancy Feast that same night. 😡

I remember that too. Those kids beat that cat in the shower and crap like that. It's just sickening. And as you see on here there's always someone ready to make a joke out of the whole thing.

And there are a few people I'd like to smack around myself.

I completely agree with you, of course shit like that stays up on youtube while tickling vids get taken down.
 
I saw a video where a bunch of kids put a cat in a small cage, doused it with gasoline, and lit it on fire.

The noise the cat made as it thrashed about were quite unnerving.

It's just sick. That does remind me of these kids who set another kid on fire about a month ago. The officer watching over them said they were laughing about it later on.

Yup. Adult black male cat I think. I just kinda sat there, dazed, wondering what went wrong in their heads, what wires had been crossed that they found actual pleasure in that.

They were probably taking their aggression out stemming from something going on in their own lives, parents, school or something but seriously.

I never found out they were dealt with. I hope that cat has found a nice home and whoever's taking care of it is able to make it trust again. 🙁

I used to own a ferret who used to freak out when you held her by the scruff of her neck. She hissed and tried to bite all the time. If it wasn't for the little tattoo behind her ear I would have sworn she was wild. I found out that the pet shop I bought her from used to be really mean to the animals who lived there.

It took several months, but I got her trusting me.
 
I'll be honest with everyone. As horrible these people are. I never agreed with anyone who said these people should be killed or beaten themselves. I mean if you want to teach a kid not to hit their little friends you don't start by slapping them across the head, but with that said I think they should be punished.
