This is more of a rant than a post, but I'm a bit frustrated. This could affect you if you use EBay so listen up.

I was trying to get rid of my tickling videos on EBay. Apparently someone contacted EBay to inform them that tickling is sexual and offensive (gasp). EBay delisted the video and said I can only relist it in the mature audiences catagory. I expect my other listing will probably be dropped too as soon as the puritan who reported me the first time strikes again. The email says my account will be terminated if I dare to post offensive material outside of the mature audience section again (gasp gasp).

Yet I've seen several ticking fetish videos sell in the general section for as long as EBay has been around!!! The only difference in this case is that some cowardly creep took the step of contacting EBay.

Now, anyone who knows anything about EBay knows that the mature audiences catagory is a death sentence that next to no one uses. Users have to specifically go into that area for your material to come up on searches, if you do a general search for "tickling" the video wouldn't come up. Getting into that area is a pain in the butt and few users will bother. I know I never do.

Further, you cannot use Paypal for anything listed in the dreaded mature audiences section because it's just so damn offensive that someone might EXPLODE if you were allowed to use a convenient method of payment. The only way to get your payment is check or money order and few users in the modern day want to fool with that. Too much risk for fraud plus you have to wait for it to clear.

There are tons of tickling videos up on EBay every week in the general area. Go do a general search for tickling and you'll see a few.

I know if I pay to relist in the mature area I won't generate any bids; no one wants to bother going through the greif of getting access to that area. 😡

Now, figure this out: You can list NC-17 videos in the general area. My first lot of tickling videos I rated as NC-17 and the auction went through. This is just so maddening. 😡 😡 😡

For all I know it was another guy selling tickling videos who reported me just to get the competition out of the general listings. You can go mad tickling about this long enough.

This sounds like a pretty legitimate conclusion! 😡

I've been on ebay for about 5-6 years. I've never had the problems you've described, but I'm the buyer. But everytime I've been the seller, I've caught hell and we're not even talking about tickling vids. Sometimes ebay can be a snake pit but I've had few problems.

Keep working the NC 17 angle-it seems to work for you.

I don't know, it sounds like a logical conclusion to me that anything tickling is erotica and should be in an adult section.

However, I think that anything which deals with children's stories should also be in that section. Think about all the huffing, puffing and blowing that takes place in The 3 little pigs, Goldilocks sleeping in a stranger's bed (didn't her parent's ever teach her better), and the Little Engine that Could, who kept thinking he could.

Then we have the old video games like DigDug (okay, I'm showing my age) where you keeping pumping the bad guys until they explode.

Don't even get me started on sports like baseball where a phallic symbol is used to hit balls, or Basketball and golf where you have to get the balls into various holes.


Forgive me Midnight, its just that, like you, I get so frustrated over this stupidity and anything can be taken to a ridiculous extreme.

Sorry about your troubles, but if anything is gained it is the knowledge that Ebay has an adult section. I honestly never knew that.

That is exactly why I call the mature audience section a death sentence. Few know it exists because so much kinky material is up on the "normal" part of EBay. To search it you must find a link to the "other" catagory of materials off the main page and then find the link to "mature audiences". It's highly unlikely anyone will ever notice your auction.

My other auction was still up this morning along with 5 zillion other tickle tapes on the "general" side. It makes you wonder who had a selective case of being offended yesterday...

I totally understand your frustration about people's misunderstanding of tickling and fetishes! A close friend of mine recently posted some very tame tickling pictures where everyone in the pictures was fully clothed and myspace took the pics off, deeming them sexually explicit! I guess it's this kind of misunderstanding that keeps tickling and other fetishes in the subculture. A double-edged sword, I guess.
