Slaver123's recent post about his decrepit house dream got me thinkin' about reoccurring dreams. Do you have any?

Aquariums seem to appear in my dreams often. And by aquariums, I mean HUGE ASS AQUARIUMS - these b's have whales living in them, or sometimes prehistoric animals like plesiosaurs.

It's interesting coz I'm always mildly intimidated by aquariums IRL. I can't swim (or rather, I can't seem to float) and I've nearly drowned twice in my life, so large bodies of water have always had an underlying menance about them. According to www.experiencefestival.com, aquariums are suppose to represent emotions, unconscious and sexualtiy (o rly...) and can be interpreted as a call to meditation. So ... make of that what you will ...

Learn to swim.

You have psychological issues that are hidden. You probably aren't aware of them. Water represents issues that must be resolved.

Another suggestion, learn lucid dreaming. After some lucid dreaming, just ask the dream why its there. It will tell you.

I've tried it. No joke.

Me? I have some recurring themes in my dreams.

Children. And also, edgar allan poe likle scenarios right out of annabel lee.

I also support learning lucid dreaming. I learned the techniques many years ago to combat night terrors. Plus, it's fun once you get the hang of it. 😉

As of now, my only recurring theme sorta dream I get isn't a nightmare, but it's weird. I dream a lot of apocalyptic situations. Nuclear blast, meteor striking the earth, a solar gamma flare...shit like that. The dreams are always visually precise...and usually feature me bracing for the shockwave/atmospheric eruption/wall of water while everyone else goes about their business.

Then I wake up and have coffee and walk my dog.

🙂

I get easily scared, so i hope i won't see such huge animals coming towards me or apocalyptic events, i'm not prepared for these yet lol
I rarely have reoccuring dreams.

yes i always have recurring dreams..lately i've been dreaming that my cat Tigger, who died in 1994, fifteen years old...well i've dreamed that she's come back to us..that she hadn't died but was lost..and she knew us...and she was thirty years old...white fluffy angora with green eyes...ah she was beautiful..but rather mean..i don't blame her...naming a cat Tigger ack what were we thinking..

Most of my dreams are meaningless assortments of random themes and circumstances, so I Really don't have too much trouble with them, though I do notice some themes.

Like Izzie above, every once in a while, I have a dream about one of our cats that ran away and never returned. Though it doesn't happen often, it's happened on more than three occasions.

Another recurring theme of my dreams is Tornadoes. I've always had dreams about them. But then again, it's somewhat understandable, because I've always been fascinated with the weather, and during my youthful years, I had aspirations to be a storm chaser.

Finally... for some damned reason, I keep dreaming that I'm back in my high school band class. Don't know why.

I HATE dreams where I'm back in school! Probably coz for me it's always freaking math class that I'm back in, and I failed outta math.

... so again, read into that one all ya want, lol
