I remember the hype when the show premiered, but I payed it no mind. Then one night, I was doing something or other with tv on in the background. It was the episode where the young girl who was in the train car with Laura Palmer had been found and was in the hospital. At the end of the show, the camera moved slowly down the hospital hallway, with this deep growling music (think "The Shining"). As the camera moved into her room, she slowly started raising her arms, eyes closed, as you saw flashbacks to that horrible night. The final shot was Bob roaring, and running at the camera. I was completely creeped out, and was hooked on the show from that point. It's one of the very few shows that could scare me...I never missed an episode...and I WANT IT ON DVD...AAARGH!
But I digress
P.S.- And despite critics and disgruntled fans, I loved "Fire Walk With Me."
